摘要: Provided is a plasma display panel having flexibility. The plasma display panel includes a panel assembly that displays images and has flexibility, a plurality of base members that are attached to a surface of the panel assembly and support the panel assembly, and connection members that connect the base members to each other and are installed to be bent in the same direction as the panel assembly is bent. The base members that support the panel assembly having flexibility on a rear surface of the panel assembly can be bent or folded in the same direction as the panel assembly by the connection members.

摘要: Provided is a plasma display panel in which failure of a terminal part structure of discharge electrodes can be prevented. The plasma display panel includes: a pair of panels which are spaced from each other with a predetermined gap therebetween which are opposed to each other; a sheet which is disposed between the pair of panels and includes barrier ribs for defining discharge cells in cooperation with the pair of panels and a dielectric part disposed at an edge of the sheet; discharge electrodes which include discharge parts generating discharge inside the barrier ribs, terminal parts formed in contact with the dielectric part and spaced from each other, and connection parts connecting the discharge parts to the terminal parts; a signal transmission member including wires which are connected to the terminal parts and are spaced from each other, a gap between the wires being smaller than the gap between the terminal parts; phosphor layers which are disposed inside the discharge cells; and discharge gas in the discharge cells. Also provided is a method of making the plasma display panel.

摘要: In a plasma display panel first and second substrates are located apart and substantially parallel to each other. A barrier rib layer is located between the first substrate and the second substrate. Discharge cells having various cross-sectional areas are formed within the barrier rib layer. Phosphor layers are formed within the discharge cells. Ring shaped first and second electrodes, conforming to the cross-sectional area of the discharge cells, surround the discharge cells adjacent to one or the other of the first and second substrates. The first electrodes are coupled together along a first direction and the second electrodes are coupled together along the same first direction. Address electrodes extend in a direction crossing the first direction and include protruding portions conforming to inner contours of the discharge cells.

The plasma display panel includes a rear substrate, a front substrate spaced apart from the rear substrate, barrier ribs disposed between the front substrate and the rear substrate and defining a plurality of discharge cells, first discharge electrodes extending in a first direction and including a plurality of first loops surrounding the discharge cell, second discharge electrodes extending in a second direction, and including a plurality of second loops surrounding the discharge cell, and crossing the first discharge electrodes, and phosphor layers disposed in the discharge cells. The first discharge electrodes may operate as an address electrode, and the second discharge electrodes may operate as a scan electrode. The first loop and the second loop may have elliptical and circular shapes, respectively.

摘要: A plasma display panel (PDP) is disclosed. The PDP includes: a first substrate and a second substrate opposite to the first substrate, a barrier rib, partitioning discharge cells together with the first substrate and the second substrate, and made of a dielectric material, common-address electrode lines, embedded in the barrier rib to surround the discharge cells, and extended to cross the discharge cells, scan electrode lines, embedded in the barrier rib to surround the discharge cells, separated from the common-address electrode lines, and extended to intersect the common-address electrode lines at the respective discharge cells, phosphor layers formed in the discharge cells, and a discharge gas filled in the discharge cells. In one embodiment, the PDP is driven by a driving waveform including a reset period or address period and a sustain-discharge period; and in the reset period. In this embodiment, in the reset period, a bias voltage (Vx) is applied to the common-address electrode lines when a falling ramp pulse is applied to the scan electrode lines, and the magnitude of a minimum voltage (Vnf2) of the falling ramp pulse is equal to or substantially the same as that of the voltage (Vs) of a alternate sustain pulse applied in the sustain discharge period.
