摘要: Joint terminals (20c) and a housing (10) are united by a press-in operation instead of being united by insert molding. Thus, there is no likelihood that an injection pressure will deform the joint terminals (20c). The joint terminal (20c) has a coupling (21) bent so that upper and lower supports (26, 27) are formed at the opposite sides of an intermediate portion (28). A high dimensional precision can be obtained even when an automatic mounting machine is used for pressing the joint terminals (20c) into the housing (10).

摘要: A retainer (40) has side plates (45) that slide against sliding-contact surfaces (29) of a female housing (20). Each sliding-contact surface (29) has an obliquely extending guide rib (33) and a locking projection (36) below the guide rib (33). The inner surface of each side plate (45) has a guide groove (46) into which the guide rib (33) is fittable and a locking hole (50) into which the locking projection (36) is fittable. Terminal fittings (11) are inserted into cavities (25) of the housing (20) and then the retainer (40) is pushed along the guide ribs (33) to a full locking position where the front edges of the side plates (45) contact the front edges of the sliding-contact surfaces (29) and the locking projections (36) are located in the locking holes (50) to doubly lock the terminal fittings (11) in the cavities (25).

摘要: A coupling portion is approximately U-shaped with two side plates extending up from a bottom plate. Front and rear ends of the bottom plate are respectively joined to a bottom wall of a box and a mounting plate of a crimping portion. Front and rear ends of the side plates are respectively joined to side walls of the box and crimping pieces of the crimping portion. In the crimping portion, an electric wire is crimped by wrapping the first crimping pieces around a terminal portion of the electric wire mounted on a mounting plate while deforming and bending them. In respective end edges of the side plates in an upward extending direction, reinforcing portions are formed continuously extending from respective front ends that are joined to the side walls to rear ends that are joined to the crimping pieces and having regions that are bent inward.

摘要: A connector has first and second housings (10, 30) that are connectable with each other. The second housing (30) has second terminal fittings (32), second detecting terminals (39) and short canceling members (37). The first housing (10) has shorting terminals (12) for shorting pairs of the first terminal fittings, a resilient arm (18) that deforms as the housings (10, 30) are connected, and first detecting terminals (11) that deform as the resilient arm (18) is deformed to touch the second detecting terminals (39) for detecting the connected state. The resilient arm (18) is held deformed and the first detecting terminals (11) are held in contact with the second detecting terminals (39) until a connecting operation is completed. The resilient arm (18) resiliently restores to separate the first detecting terminals (11) from the second detecting terminals (32) when the connection is completed.
