Abstract:
A process for starting a supplementary direct injection vehicle heater (10) with the following steps: detecting a starting signal (14) which is independent of the ignition process of the internal combustion engine (12), initiating measures to prepare for heating operation of the supplementary direct injection vehicle heater (10) when the starting signal (14) has appeared, and initiation of heating operation of the supplementary direct injection vehicle heater (10) when the internal combustion engine (12) is being started.
Abstract:
A motor vehicle roof with an at least partially transparent roof section (10) and a shade arrangement (12) located underneath the transparent roof section. In one of three embodiments, with two take-up shafts (16, 18) located in succession in the lengthwise direction of the roof and a length of shade (14) which extends in between, and the front end of the length of shade can be taken up onto the front take-up shaft and the back end onto the rear take-up shaft, the two take-up shafts each being pre-tensioned in the take-up direction, the two take-up shafts being movable along one laterally arranged guide in the lengthwise direction of the roof, and there being a common drive (70, 72, 74, 76) in order to move the take-up shafts (16, 18) in opposite directions toward one another in the lengthwise direction of the roof.
Abstract:
A blind assembly for a motor vehicle, comprising a blind web that is extensible or movable in a longitudinal direction, and two guides that run in the longitudinal direction of the blind web and are located at a distance from each other in a transverse direction of the blind web. The blind web can be guided between the guides. The blind assembly further comprises expanding means which are part of the blind web or are connected thereto. The expanding means can be expanded at least in the transverse direction of the blind web or allow the blind web to be stretched in the transverse direction. The expanding means are provided with at least two components. At least one first component is elastic in the transverse direction of the blind web while at least one second component is non-elastic in the transverse direction of the blind web.
Abstract:
Motor vehicle roof with a roof opening, a movable closing element to selectively close or at least partially clear the roof opening, a wind deflector in a front edge area of the roof opening and which is movable between lowered and filly raised positions, and a positioning device for setting intermediate positions of the wind deflector which has a holder which engages the wind deflector and a driven displacement mechanism for vertically displacing the wind deflector into the intermediate positions. The adjustment mechanism has a guide element which is driven by the drive into motion along the wind deflector with an inclined guideway along which an engagement element which is connected to the holder is movably guided. The engagement element is supported on a body-mounted carrier such that it can be moved with respect to the carrier only normal to the direction of motion of the guide element.
Abstract:
A burner device having a burner chamber (26) filled at least partially by a porous body (28), an evaporation zone (12) upstream of the burner chamber (26) for evaporating liquid fuel supplied via a fuel inlet line (16), an igniter (30) for igniting a combustion mixture of evaporated liquid fuel and combustion air supplied via a combustion air inlet line (18) to the evaporation zone (12) as well as an exhaust discharge (38) downstream of the combustion chamber (26). A mixing zone (20) is disposed between the evaporation zone (14) and the combustion chamber (26) in which fuel gas is introduced via a fuel gas inlet line (22, 24) and is mixed with the combustion air and/or the combustion mixture. The burner device can be used as an afterburner in a fuel cell stack.
Abstract:
A guide device for a movable roof element of an openable vehicle roof with a guide sliding block connected to the roof element and with a guide unit which has two guide surfaces which route the guide sliding block between themselves and which are pointed in opposite directions, one of the guide surfaces being held on the guide unit to be able to move relative to the guide sliding block and being pretensioned relative to the other guide surface by a spring mechanism, the spring mechanism having at least two spring elements which are located in a parallel connection on the guide unit. Preferably, the component which contains the slide surface is supported by the first spring element on the first support site of the guide unit and by the second spring element on the second support site of the guide unit.
Abstract:
A fuel cell array comprising a fuel cell stack (12) with several fuel cells (10) and a first (14) and a second end plate (16) defining the fuel cell stack (12) on the end thereof, and a device for fixing the fuel cell array to a housing (38). At least one force transmitting device (18) is provided which transmits a first force to the first end plate (14) in the direction of the second end plate (16) and a second force to the second end plate (16) in the direction of the first end plate (14). An elastic arrangement (20) is involved in the transmission of force.
Abstract:
A retractable roof includes a front roof panel, a back roof panel formed by joining outer and inner panel layers to each other, a lower link pivotally connected to a vehicle body member, an upper link pivotally connected to the front roof panel, and an intermediate link rigidly connected to each of the lower link and the upper link. The intermediate link is placed in between the outer and inner panel layers of the back roof panel.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a wind deflector (10) for a motor vehicle roof (2) with a roof opening (4) which can be closed by means of an adjustable cover (6), comprising a wind deflector (10) which is located along the front edge of the roof opening (4) and which can be moved between an inactive position which is retracted into the outside contour of the roof and a raised operating position, the effective area exposed to the incident flow of the head wind being formed from an air-permeable net (12). As claimed in the invention the net (12) which forms the effective area consists of several sections of different fabric density which are located next to one another. The net (12) is a one-piece fabric with several sections of different fabric density made by means of the corresponding weaving technique, so that the net (12) does not have any seams or other connecting sites between the individual sections.
