A cart is towed behind a combine harvester for collecting corn cobs and includes a conveyer belt feeding into a system for separating cobs from residue to be discharged and a tank for receiving and transporting the cobs. An unload auger is provided from the tank to one side of the cart while the cart moves forward. Power for driving the cart is obtained from a chopper drive of the combine harvester. The separating arrangement includes a series of sequential blower fans for blowing air through the discharged material as it is discharged from a conveyor and into a spreading guide disperses the residue. The cobs are conveyed using a series of augers where the auger to flight distance is at least 2 inches and particularly a pair of augers feed the cobs through a front wall of the tank so as to push cobs upwardly into the tank.

Abstract:
A manually operated mechanism for locking the first table of a bale wagon in the raised position. The mechanism uses gravity to both engage and disengage the lock to permit an operator to safely service the components of the wagon below the first table.
Abstract:
Transport arrangements for cutting heads or the like have previously been configured as independent one or two-axle trailers upon which the implement could be deposited. The disadvantage is that thereby a self-supporting construction is required which entails high costs. In another known embodiment a two wheel trailer is attached to both the front and the rear end of the implement, which is costly and increases the length of the complete rig. The transport arrangement proposed consists of a draft tongue and a trailer, where the tongue is inserted into and secured to the implement and the trailer is attached underneath the implement. Transport arrangements of this type are used to transport agricultural implements.
Abstract:
A nut harvest trailer having a hopper with a rotatable loop of flexible screen affixed over the top of the hopper extending from the front to the rear thereof. A solid panel is affixed between an upper and lower layer of the loop of screen. The solid panel extends from the front of the hopper toward the rear thereof. The solid panel terminates to leave a narrow opening between the end of the solid panel and the rear of the hopper. The structure allows a mixture of nuts and small limbs to be deposited onto the upper layer of screen and solid panel at the front of the trailer. The mixture is then moved by the upper layer of screen on the solid panel toward the rear of the trailer where the nuts fall through the screen, through the narrow opening and into the hopper of the trailer. The sticks remain on the screen and are deposited off the rear of the trailer. The lower layer of the screen loop moves from the rear of the hopper toward the front thereof. When the nuts pile sufficiently high within the rear of the hopper, the lower layer of the rotating screen gently pushes the top of the pile of nuts toward the front of the hopper to evenly distribute the load therein.

A chain release apparatus is set forth wherein a vertically reciprocating plate is mounted within a post accepting a plurality of chains across a passageway formed by a second post wherein the chains are positionable over vertically oriented fingers integrally formed to the reciprocating plate. The post is formed with a plurality of cylindrical abutments surrounding the fingers in a lower position and positioned adjacent an upper end of the fingers in a second position when the plate is dropped to a lowered second position.

An implement for compacting fibrous and other compressible materials and especially freshly picked cotton which is transported in mobile trailers or loaded into containers so as to increase the load capacity thereof. The apparatus includes a compaction ram assembly which is both horizontally and vertically adjustably supported relative to a conventional vehicle such as a farm tractor to which the implement is selectively mounted.

The improvement in a gravity box farm wagon of a door opening mechanism for side opening discharge door of the farm wagon includes a hand wheel operated spool with cable wrapped around the spool and connected at its opposite ends to the door and a channel member extending vertically from the door.
