    Abstract: A truck includes a chassis 1 supporting a cab 3 and a deck 9 which is supported at least by a rearmost axle 15 and wheels 17. The deck 9 is tiltable relative to the chassis 1 about a pivot axis 27 located in front of the rearmost axle 15 of the truck and arranged such that as the deck 9 tilts rearwardly, the chassis 1 tilts forwardly and the deck 9 lowers towards the rearmost axle. A forward part of a rear suspension arrangement may be operatively connected to the chassis 1 so that the forward part moves upwardly towards the deck 9 as the deck 9 is tilted.

    Abstract: Cocoon Camper is a two-unit camper consisting of a frontal vehicle and a rear camper section. The frontal vehicle and rear camper section are connected and locked together allowing the vehicle to drive as if it were a single unit. The rear camper section of Cocoon Camper overlaps the frontal vehicle on top with a section that locks in place and connects directly to the top of the frontal vehicle unit with supports. The rear camper also locks in place from the back of the frontal vehicle unit to fully connect and stabilize the vehicle. Cocoon Camper works by connecting the drive shaft from the frontal vehicle to the camper in order to drive the wheels of the camper section from the rear. Cocoon Camper makes this possible by allowing the rear wheels of the frontal vehicle unit to retract to provide the proper clearance. The frontal vehicle has a unique modified differential that includes a selector to activate the wheels on the frontal vehicle or the wheels on the camper unit.

    Abstract: A hitch or towing device to connect a trailer having at least two swivelable ground-contacting wheels to an automobile or similar prime mover includes two arms to connect the trailer to the prime mover. The arms are flexible in a vertical direction but rigid in a longitudinal and in a sidewise direction. This permits the automobile to push the trailer backwards and also permits relative motion between the trailer and the automobile in roll and pitch but not in yaw. In a preferred embodiment the arms connecting the trailer to the automobile are leaf springs, and couplings permanently fastened to the automobile engage the front end of the springs in a hinge-like manner, the hinge-pin being easily removable to facilitate connecting and disconnecting of trailer and automobile.

    Abstract: A convertible trailer assembly having a first orientation wherein a center trailer hitch is connected to a lead vehicle and a second orientation wherein two outside trailer hitches are connected to a lead vehicle. The convertible trailer assembly comprises a trailer frame having two longitudinally extending hollow side channels. A wheel assembly includes a fixed upper plate and a rotatably connected lower plate. The lower plate includes a depending skirt including a centrally located aperture, a coil overshock coupled with the lower plate, a vertical arm extending downwardly from the lower plate, horizontally extending arms connecting the lower ends of the coil overshock with the vertical arm. A wheel is rotatably mounted between the coil overshock and the horizontally extending arm with the wheel assembly being coupled to the lower surface and rearward end of the trailer frame. Side trailer hitches are provided, each having a forward end adapted to be coupled with a lead vehicle, and a rearward end adapted to be received within one of the hollow side channels. Lastly, a center trailer hitch has a forward end adapted to be coupled with a lead vehicle, and a rearward end adapted to be received within the hollow center channel.

    Abstract: A tow hitch adapted to be secured to the rearward portion of automotive vehicles and especially passenger type vehicles, said tow hitch being adapted to have a fifth wheel type trailer connected thereto by means of a hitch frame supported by auxiliary wheels immediately rearward of the rear end of said automotive vehicle and connected to the chassis frame members of the vehicle by interfitting projection and socket means. One embodiment of the structure comprises a cantilever frame adapted to overlie the rearward portion of the upper surface of the trunk section of an automotive vehicle, thereby minimizing the overall length of a connected vehicle and trailer. A second embodiment of the invention comprises upstanding means on said hitch frame directly supporting a transverse hitch member for connection of the forward end of a fifth wheel trailer thereto and thereby readily permit access to the trunk of said vehicle by permitting the deck cover to be raised. The aforementioned cantilever frame also being supported for pivotal movement upward and rearward in a manner to permit the same to support loads when extending rearwardly. Means are also provided whereby the coupling means are adapted to be connected to a wide range of different widths of chassis frames of various vehicles while utilizing a hitch frame of standard width and, correspondingly, a limited number of different arrangements of supporting means for the cantilever frame are possible to enable the cantilever frame to be disposed at a reasonable range of different angles to support the forward ends thereof in spaced relation to a range of different shapes and heights of deck structures on the trunk areas of various automotive vehicles.
