The system may include a pressure control module for regulating the from a high-pressure air source to an evacuation valve. The evacuation valve employs first and second valves where the second valve controls the operation of the first valve.

    摘要: A system and method for guiding a disruptor robot in disruption of an explosive device. The system includes a source of penetrating radiation, having a coordinated position on the robot with respect to a disrupter coupled to robot, and at least one detector for detecting radiation produced by the source and scattered by the explosive device. An analyzer produces an image of the explosive device and facilitates identification of a disruption target of the explosive device. A controller positions the disruptor with respect to the explosive device so that the disruptor is aimed at the disruption target.

    摘要: Recoil mitigating devices and methods for use with projectile firing systems such as a disrupter mounted to a robotic arm. A pair of parallel spring provides dampening of axial recoil movement of the disrupter relative to the robotic arm. Forward ends of the springs are attachable to the barrel of the disrupter while rearward portions of the springs are attachable to the robotic arm by a robot mount block. The robot mount block at least partially encloses the barrel of the disrupter in connecting the parallel springs and permits axial movement of the disrupter along or through the mount during firing.

    摘要: A platform for countering terrorist devices improvised explosive devices (IEDs) that are detonated by infrared (IR) signals is used to prematurely trigger the IEDs, and scan geographic areas from covert positions to detect the planting of IEDs regardless of the fusing method. An unmanned scansorial vehicle equipped with an IR emulator can trigger IEDs to detonate as the terrorists plant them. In addition, the surveillance capabilities of the scansorial vehicles are used to identify insurgents that plant IEDs.
