摘要： A tensioning device includes a pair of opposing first surfaces defining a first wedge opening. The first surfaces are fixed relative to each other. The first wedge opening is shaped to releasably secure a first portion of a cord. A pair of opposing second surfaces defines a second wedge opening. The second surfaces are fixed relative to each other. The second wedge opening is spaced apart from the first wedge opening. The second wedge opening is shaped to releasably secure a second portion of the cord. A cord block defines a support surface spaced from the first and second wedge openings. The support surface is positioned to slidably support the cord between the first and second wedge openings.

摘要： The present invention provides a string fastening device which allows a string to be threaded thereinto easily, facilitates tightening of the string and enables the string to be gripped softly and captured accurately. The string fastening device can be used with its main body only and the main body includes a penetrating hole comprised of a sliding passage portion which allows the string to be moved freely and a braking passage portion for restricting movement of the string such that they adjoin. A narrow portion is provided at a joint portion so as to prevent the string from changing its path freely. The main body is made of thermoplastic elastomer to have elasticity. A rear face of the main body is formed to be a flat face. An attachment groove or sewing holes for sewing operation are provided around the penetrating hole. The main body is placed on a string threading hole in the cloth to be attached by a sewing thread to be fixed securely.

摘要： A device for fastening a line to an object, such as a mooring post or the like is of unitary construction having a bore therethrough through which a loop in the line is threaded. The device includes a cylindrical barrel portion which is adapted to be griped by user's hand, and a hub portion provided with a passageway through which one end of the line is threaded and knotted in order to secure the line to the device. The hub provides a shoulder against which the user's hand may bear to exert a force on the device in order to create slack in the loop to permit removal thereof from the anchoring object.

摘要： This invention relates broadly to an apparatus for shortening wires, cables and the like without requiring the disconnection of such wires and cutting off the ends thereof to achieve the shortening. The apparatus consists generally of a sheet metal or the like shortening device which has a degree of flexibility therein by means of which the shortening function is accomplished. The wire or the like to be shortened is affixed to lugs or the like which are struck from the edge of one portion of the device and from this portion extends a tail which is bent towards the aforesaid portion and the wire is affixed to the bend which is made in this tail portion. The amount of shortening of the wire is determined by the place where the tail is bent.
