Abstract:
A collapsible support apparatus constructed from a elongated panel. The collapsible support apparatus is arranged to form a partially enclosed triangular structure for maintaining a bag in an upright and open state predominately within the triangular structure. The elongated panel includes a longitudinal score line which defines first and second elongated subpanels. A lateral score line of the elongated panel defines a base panel extending perpendicularly from a bottom edge of one of the elongated subpanels. The base panel is dimensioned to span intermediate bottom edges of the first and second elongated subpanels to form a closed base which limits abrasion to the bottom of the bag. The collapsible support apparatus is collapsible at least along the longitudinal and lateral score lines into a generally planar structure.
Abstract:
A tensioning device includes a pair of opposing first surfaces defining a first wedge opening. The first surfaces are fixed relative to each other. The first wedge opening is shaped to releasably secure a first portion of a cord. A pair of opposing second surfaces defines a second wedge opening. The second surfaces are fixed relative to each other. The second wedge opening is spaced apart from the first wedge opening. The second wedge opening is shaped to releasably secure a second portion of the cord. A cord block defines a support surface spaced from the first and second wedge openings. The support surface is positioned to slidably support the cord between the first and second wedge openings.

Abstract:
A pair of locking pliers includes a body having a fixed jaw that supports a fixed extension. A movable jaw is pivotably mounted to the body by a hinge pin, and the movable jaw includes a movable extension. An operating lever is pivotably mounted to the movable jaw to close the movable jaw, and the movable jaw is shaped such that the movable extension slides along the fixed extension as the movable jaw is pivoted closed with the operating lever in order to provide an axial clamping action.
Abstract:
A collapsible container having an integral scoop is disclosed. The collapsible container is arranged to form a partially enclosed rectilinear structure for maintaining a bag in an open state predominately within the rectilinear structure. The elongated panel includes a pair of longitudinal score lines which define first and second subpanels. A first lateral score line defines a top panel which is pivoted downward to form the integral scoop. A second lateral score line defines a base panel extending obliquely from a bottom edge of main panel. The base panel is dimensioned to span intermediate bottom edges of the first and second subpanels to form a closed base which limits abrasion to the bottom of the bag. The collapsible container is collapsible at least along the longitudinal and lateral score lines into a generally planar structure.
Abstract:
A general purpose releasable connector comprising: a first connector part comprising: a head, a neck, and a first attachment member, the neck joining the head to the attachment member, the head having a width that is wider than the neck in at least one dimension; a second connector part comprising: a socket for receiving the head and a second attachment member; the socket having a first open end, a base, and a socket wall having opposing sides, the first open end being wider than the head and the base being sufficiently closed to support the head without the head passing through it, the opposing sides sloping inward from the first open end, the socket further including a slot passing through the socket wall, the slot being wider than the neck but narrower than the head; and a first magnet embedded in one of either the head or the socket base, the other of the head or socket base either being ferromagnetic or including a second magnet, or both, whereby when the head is placed in the socket, the head is automatically guided into and magnetically held in the socket. A logo is attached to one of said connector to make an advertising give-away or a personalized gift.
Abstract:
Methods and structures are disclosed for establishing a positioning reference frame for a work surface having one or more hidden features (such as studs) where the hidden features are detectable by way of machine-aided sensing. One method geometry, proximate to the surface, so that one or more of the hidden features can be detected and located with machine-aided sensing. One or more sensor modules are attached to the guiding frame and at least a first of the sensor modules is movable along the guiding frame. The first sensor module provides machine-aided sensing of at least a corresponding first of the hidden features. The first sensor module and/or guiding frame are moved relative to one another so that the relatively moved components become aligned to the first hidden feature according to a desired orientation.
