摘要： A lock assembly having a housing containing a push rod movable along its longitudinal axis between a locked position where the push rod is extended outwardly of the housing and a retracted, unlocked position. A movable latch moves radially to engage with the push rod to hold it in the locked position and to disengage from the push rod to allow the push rod to move to its unlocked position. The latch member has an opening that, when aligned with the main axis of the push rod, allows the push rod to pass through the opening but when the latch member is offset with respect to that axis the latch member abuts against the push rod to prevent the push rod from moving to its unlocked position. A pushbutton moves the latch member and a locking assembly blocks the movement of the pushbutton when the lock assembly is locked.

摘要： An optical security system having a key, an optic lock, and a processing system. The lock generally has a plurality of optic reflective sensors, a plurality of readable discs, and a controller for processing information to and from the plurality of sensors. The optic security lock senses the surface changes of state during the rotation of the plurality of discs caused by the turning of the fully-engaged key. The data from the sensors is communicated to the controller, with the controller having a processor capable of processing data from the sensors. The processing system analyzes the data from the controller and compares the data to known information in a database for generating a lock command signal. The optic lock can further include input device for inputting transaction data to facilitate consumer purchasing transactions, security transactions, verification transaction, credit card transactions, and the like.

摘要： A cylinder lock includes a turnable lock cylinder located inside a lock body and a set of code locking discs located inside the lock cylinder. Each locking disc has a key opening and is turnable in the lock body in a first turning direction from an initial position to an opening position by application of turning force to a counter surface bounding the key opening. The key opening of at least a first code locking disc is bounded by at least two discrete counter surfaces. A key is insertable in the lock when the locking discs are all at the initial position. The key has a set of combination surfaces corresponding respectively to the locking discs, for engaging a counter surface of each locking disc and applying turning force thereto when the key is inserted in the lock and is turned in the first turning direction, so that the locking discs are turned in the first turning direction to their respective opening positions. The combination surface corresponding to the first code locking disc can be provided selectively with one of at least two combination values, whereby the combination surface engages a selected one of the discrete counter surfaces for applying turning force in the first turning direction to the first code locking disc.

摘要： A key lock mechanism which can be made entirely of molded plastic parts having (1) a lock shell that can be snap fit in a mounting opening, wherein the shell is a predominantly cylindrical casing having a front end, a rear end, and an interior longitudinal channel; and (2) a lock plug, having a front end and a rear end, longitudinally housed within and rotatable about the longitudinal axis of the shell. The front end of the lock plug has a keyway allowing the insertion of a key to operate a double-acting, bar tumbler having a rocker body with a front peg and rear peg; an integral axle perpendicular to and connecting the center rocker body to a left and a right pivot pad upon which the bar tumbler pivots. The insertion of the key pivots the bar tumbler within the longitudinal shell channel and enables the key to turn the plug within the shell to operate the lock. The rear end of the plug receives a snap on actuation means such as a cam. Another embodiment of the invention is a plastic switch lock which combines the same tumbler means with a rotatable, electrically conductive contact within the plug effective for electrically communicating with a least two electrically conductive terminals.
