摘要: Methods of coding and retrieving information by using the unique emission properties of the semiconductor nanocrystals (quantum dots) for the identification of valuable documents, articles and objects are described. A carrier medium is prepared containing quantum dots selected to give the carrier medium defined fluorescent emission characteristics encoding predetermined information. The carrier medium is then applied to the object, preferably in the form of an ink.

摘要: Disclosed herein is a portable communication device. The portable communication device includes a first housing extending in a first direction, a second housing extending in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction and formed at a bottom surface of the first housing so that a predetermined region of an outer circumferential surface of the second housing protrudes perpendicularly outward from the bottom surface of the first housing, and a camera lens module rotatably or linearly movably mounted in the second housing. The camera lens module is inserted into or drawn out from the second housing in the second direction. The camera lens module is repeatedly inserted into and drawn out from the second housing by pushing the camera lens module, and the camera lens module moves upward and downward when it is drawn out from the second housing.

摘要: A system is described for managing data and information in a healthcare environment, such as a hospital. A handheld code scanner reads codes and either accepts data, or performs instructions based on the read code. The code scanner wirelessly transmits the codes or data to a central server which acts on the read code to carry out necessary functions. The system is useful for tracking patient data, such as for delivery of medicine. In addition, since the system can carry out instructions, it is useful for allowing healthcare workers to quickly and conveniently perform their duties without the necessity of sitting at a computer terminal.

摘要: In a non-contacting smart card interrogator (1) a first end (A) of an eighth-wave transmission line (13) is connected to a terminal connecting a first receiver (16) to a transmission line (14), and to a second end (B) of the transmission line (14) the carrier wave generator (11) is connected. To the first end (A) of the eighth-wave transmission line (13) the first amplitude demodulation receiver (16) and to the second end (B) thereof a second amplitude demodulation receiver (16null) are connected. In the non-contacting smart card interrogator of the invention an effective use of amplitude demodulation is made possible by changing the phase modulation into an amplitude one by means of a passive element, whereby, however, no noise source has been introduced into the system.
