Abstract: A solids separator for use in a composting system for separating solid waste from liquid waste in a stream of waste includes a housing defining a waste inlet for receiving the stream of waste, a liquids outlet for passing the liquid waste, and a solids outlet for passing the solid waste. A separator belt is positioned within the housing and extending between the liquids outlet and the solids outlet, the separator belt defining a plurality of apertures through which the liquid waste passes through the separator belt and into the liquids outlet. A drive cylinder is rotatably mounted within the housing for selectively rotating the separator belt such that a top surface of the belt is moved toward the solids outlet along with the solid waste that is extracted from the stream of waste.

Abstract: A processing system for a slurry material. The system has a vibratory screen disposed atop an open-topped tank. A travel path for a vehicle is disposed directly above the screen and the tank. Slurry material dumped from the vehicle onto the screen is separated at the screen into a particulate-rich stream and a fluid-rich stream. The fluid-rich stream may be pumped to a cleaner so that it may be stored and re-used as drilling fluid. The screen may be a conveyor which removes the particulate-rich stream from above the tank.

Abstract: A drilling mud remediation and drilling cutting treatment device and method. There are three main components: a vacuum liquid solid separator; a pelletizer; and an induction furnace. The liquid solid separator has a seamless filter belt configured to carry a mixture of liquids and solids over a vacuum. A slurry comprised of drilling mud and cuttings is deposited on the filter belt. An applicator ensures that the slurry is deposited evenly across the entire filter belt at a uniform thickness. The vacuum removes most of the liquids for further treatment and reuse. The solids are transferred to a pelletizer which compacts them into relatively uniform pellets while removing much residual liquid. The pelletized cuttings are then passed through an induction furnace, which removes any residual liquids, renderings the cuttings safe for disposal.

Abstract: A fluid filter device and method of using the same are disclosed. The filter device may include a casing including a first face, a second face and at least one lateral face positioned between the first face and the second face and perpendicular thereto. The filter device may include at least two elongated pulleys rotatably supported within the casing between the first face and the second face of the casing. The filter device may include a filtering mesh threaded on at least some of the elongated pulleys to define an interior of the filtering mesh. The elongated pulleys and locations thereof within the casing are adapted to arrange the filtering mesh into a predetermined shape and to enable rotation of the filtering mesh about the at least some of the elongated pulleys.

Abstract: A vibration unit assembly for a belt conveyor has a vibration element, and vibration generator and a connection assembly. The vibration generator is operatively connected to the vibration element for inducing vibrations in the vibration element. The connection assembly connects the vibration element to the belt conveyor so that the vibration element may move relative to the belt conveyor. Abstract: An endless elongate structure adapted to circulate around a path. Abstract: A device is for separating a medium comprising a mixture of a solid portion and a fluid portion. The device has a filter arrangement with a displaceable filter element having a plurality of openings that allow the fluid to be disposed through the openings while maintaining the solid portion on the filter element. The device further has an inlet for feeding the medium to the filter element and an outlet for discharging the solid portion from the filter element after that the fluid has been separated from the solid portion. Abstract: There is described a system and a process for optimizing and controlling upstream fluid treatment processes using information on fluid characteristics obtained from response variables of a separation device (such as the belt speed or water level of an RBF). This system and process allow for the upstream or downstream treatment processes to be adjusted and optimized against the instantaneous operating conditions of the separation device such that both the pre-treatment and post-treatment processes and the separation system always run at an optimal efficiency. Additionally, since the information obtained from the response variables of the separation device truly reflect the fluid characteristics at the point where the separation system is installed, the same can be used to control a downstream process (for example, the amount of oxygen required in the biological oxidation stage or the sludge retention time in an side stream sludge treatment process such as fermentation or anaerobic digestion).
