    摘要: A microplastic filter includes a housing including an inlet configured to receive water. The microplastic filter also includes a fine filter disposed to rotate within the housing and configured to filter residues from the water. The microplastic filter further includes an inside wiper disposed within the fine filter. The inside wiper includes a center post disposed along a rotational axis of the fine filter and a helical curved wall spirally extending between the center post and the fine filter, where the helical curved wall is configured to guide a portion of the water to backflow through the fine filter and force away at least some filtered residues from pores of the fine filter to prevent fouling or clogging of the fine filter. In addition, the microplastic filter includes an outside wiper spirally disposed around the fine filter and configured to dislodge other filtered residues from the fine filter as the fine filter rotates.

    摘要: A solids separator for use in a composting system for separating solid waste from liquid waste in a stream of waste includes a housing defining a waste inlet for receiving the stream of waste, a liquids outlet for passing the liquid waste, and a solids outlet for passing the solid waste. A separator belt is positioned within the housing and extending between the liquids outlet and the solids outlet, the separator belt defining a plurality of apertures through which the liquid waste passes through the separator belt and into the liquids outlet. A drive cylinder is rotatably mounted within the housing for selectively rotating the separator belt such that a top surface of the belt is moved toward the solids outlet along with the solid waste that is extracted from the stream of waste.

    摘要: A liquid (2), such as wastewater, is filtered using a liquid-permeable filtering element (9) having first and second faces (10, 11) so as to produce filtered liquid (4) having total suspended solids of no more than 10 mg/L. The method comprises cycling the liquid-permeable filtering element through the liquid whereby, in a first position, an area of the first face of the filtering element is subjected to liquid under pressure and a pressure across the filtering element is greater than 0 and less than or equal to 5.9 kPa (60 cmH2O), and, in a second position, the area is not subjected to liquid under pressure or is subjected to liquid at a lower pressure, and solids accumulated on the first face of the filtering element can be removed by directing at least one jet at the second face of the filtering element through the filtering element towards the first face.
