    Abstract: A motorcycle tyre, comprising a radial carcass structure (2) and a tread band (8) applied at a radially outer position with respect to the radial carcass structure (2), wherein the radial carcass structure (2) comprises a first carcass ply (3a) and a second carcass ply (3b) including a first plurality of textile reinforcing cords (30) and a second plurality of textile reinforcing cords (32), respectively, wherein the first textile reinforcing cords (31) are parallel to each other and the second textile reinforcing cords (33) are parallel to each other and have a respective first and second inclination at a crown portion (8c) of the tread band (8) with respect to an equatorial plane (X-X) of the tyre, wherein said second inclination is opposite to said first inclination. The first textile reinforcing cords (31) and the second textile reinforcing cords (33) have a tenacity comprised between 0.35 cN/Tex and 1.2 cN/Tex at 2% elongation and comprised between 0.5 cN/Tex and 3 cN/Tex at 5% elongation. At least one central annular sector (8a) of the tread band (8) arranged astride of the equatorial plane (X-X) is made of a vulcanized elastomeric material having a static elastic modulus Ca3 measured at 70° C. comprised between 9.0 and 14.0, a tandelta measured at 70° C. and 10 Hz comprised between 0.120 and 0.160, and a dynamic elastic modulus F measured at 70° C. and 10 Hz comprised between 3.7 and 4.1.

    Abstract: A tire for motorcycles includes a toroidal carcass and a band layer. Carcass plies are overlapped so that carcass cords cross each other. The carcass plies include at least one turned up ply including a main body portion and a turned up portion. The carcass cords of the main body portion are arranged at angles of 20 degrees or more and 70 degrees or less with respect to a tire equator, and the carcass cords of the turned up portion are arranged at angles different from the carcass cords of the main body portion. The band layer includes a jointless band ply in which band cords are spirally arranged at angles of 5 degrees or less with respect to a tire circumferential direction.

    Abstract: Provided is a pneumatic tire for two-wheeled motor vehicles in which the durability of bead portions is improved than in conventional tires. This pneumatic tire includes: a tread portion formed in an annular shape; side wall portions and bead portions, which continuously extend on the respective ends of the tread portion; a carcass 1 composed of at least three layers of carcass plies 1a, 1b and 1c which toroidally extend on the tire radial-direction inner side of the tread portion; a belt 2 composed of at least two belt layers 2a and 2b which are arranged on the tire radial-direction outer side of the carcass 1; and bead cores 3 embedded in the bead portions. In this pneumatic tire, the carcass plies 1a, 1b and 1c; have a bias structure and include at least two layers of turn-up carcass plies 1a and 1b which are folded back around the bead cores 3, and at least one layer of down carcass ply 1c which is arranged on the tire radial-direction outer side of the turn-up carcass plies and terminated on the tire width-direction outer side of the bead portions without being folded back around the bead cores 3.

    Abstract: This invention relates generally to tires having multiple carcasses that wrap around multiple bead cores on a single side of the tire, and, more specifically, to a tire that has a bead core locking insert that eliminates a pullout step for one of the carcass plies or bands during fabrication, This step includes wrapping one of the plies or bands completely around said multiple bead cores that are found on a single side of the tire. In certain embodiments, the tire is an aviation tire that has bands of multiple plies that are wrapped about multiple bead cores found on each side of the tire. The bead core locking insert is found below the multiple bead cores found on each side of the tire and is adjacent to the bands that wrap around the inside and outside head cores, thereby locking these beads and associated bands together.
