Abstract:
A printer having a paper guide structure, including a first feed roller to allow a paper supplied from a paper feeding portion to move along a transfer path. A second feed roller receives the paper transferred by the first feed roller and transfers the paper. A guide member is arranged between the first and second feed rollers along the transfer path and guides the paper. A door is installed at a main body of the printer to be opened and closed. An empty space is formed toward the door at the rear of the second feed roller so that, when the door is open and a leading end of the paper passing the second feed roller is pulled up, the paper is discharged along an outer circumferential surface of the second feed roller.
Abstract:
A drop-box mechanism or system is disposed adjacent to an article conveyor and atop a flat mail storage tub and comprises a platen movable between first and second chambers at which the open top of the storage tub is respectively uncovered and covered. When the platen uncovers the storage tub, deflecting fingers move downwardly so as to cover the platen tracks and the space defined between the bottom of the drop-box mechanism and the open top of the storage tub so as to prevent flat mail articles from becoming jammed within the tracks or from being inadvertently discharged through the space defined between the bottom of the drop-box mechanism and the open top of the storage tub. In this manner, the predetermined conveyed order of articles is preserved so as to facilitate sequence address delivery of the articles to recipients.
Abstract:
A sheet ejection apparatus which is built in as a part of a processing apparatus main unit for ejecting a sheet processed by a processing section in the processing apparatus main unit to a sheet stack section placed on the top of the processing apparatus main unit. The processing apparatus main unit is formed with a unit reception section and one of sheet ejection units different in specifications can be attached to the unit reception section. The invention is also applied to a sheet processing apparatus using the sheet ejection apparatus.
Abstract:
A sheet processing apparatus of the present invention comprises: an inserter tray to support insert sheets, an insert sheet supply roller to supply the insert sheets in the direction of a recording medium conveying path from the inserter tray; an insert sheet conveying device extending from the insert sheet supply roller to the recording medium conveying path to convey the insert sheets; a sheet reversing/conveying device provided from the insert sheet supply roller to the recording medium conveying path to reverse both the front and back sides of the insert sheets; and a gate to sort the insert sheets supplied from the insert sheet supply roller to the insert sheet conveying device or the insert sheet reversing/conveying device, and supplies insert sheets on the inserter tray by reversing the front and back sides in the direction of recording media according to a type of finish processing to be applied to recording media.
Abstract:
A diverter to direct media within an image forming apparatus along one of three media paths. A first gate and a second gate are positioned in an overlapping arrangement and each is movable between up and down positions. Each of the gates includes a biasing member to bias the gates towards the down position. An actuator contacts the second gate to move it to the up position. The overlapping arrangement of the first and second gates causes the first gate to also be moved to the up position when the second gate moves to the up position. A second actuator contacts the first gate to move the gate from the down position to the up position independently of the second gate.
Abstract:
A finisher for finishing papers sequentially driven out of an image forming apparatus includes a plurality of trays selectively movable to a single paper outlet. The finisher reduces a period of time necessary for designated one of the trays to reach the paper outlet, increases the number of papers which can be stacked on the trays, and determines the number of papers stacked with a simple configuration. Papers are prevented from returning from the tray to the paper outlet without complicating the configuration of the outlet. An outlet roller protrudes from the paper outlet, but does not interfere with the tray moving past the paper outlet. The trays protect the operator from injury and protect the structural elements of the finisher from damage despite their movement.
Abstract:
A delivery for a machine processing flat printing materials includes a suction belt conveyer having conveying runs forming a support surface. To remove rejects or proof sheets as required, the delivery transports the materials along a transport path over a stack that is otherwise built up and transfers the sheets to the support surface. The physical position of the support surface can be varied while maintaining its generatrix. Therefore, the support surface can be adjusted in each print job to a working position in which secured transfer of removed printing materials to the suction belt conveyer is ensured. In a particular configuration, a latching device is provided that permits the conveying runs to escape from their working position in the event of a jam. Preferably, the latching device has a latching pin and a latching recess.
Abstract:
Provided is a sheet discharge apparatus including a plurality of stackers on which a sheet discharged from a conveyance passage is stacked, and a gate which changes a discharge direction of the sheet. The gate can move over a first changeover position to guide the sheet to one stacker, and a second changeover position to guide the sheet to the other stacker. When the gate is moved to the second changeover position, the sheet is guided to the other stacker through a bent guide passage. A pressing mechanism is disposed on an upstream side along a conveyance direction of the sheet from the gate. The pressing mechanism applies a pressure and gives a wavy shape to the sheet, and temporarily makes the sheet rigid as long as the gate is in the first position.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a device for distributing flexible sheet-shaped objects into multiple selectable target stations of a sheet material processing device, wherein the distributing device is mounted between a supply station and sheet conveyor units of the target stations. According to a preferred embodiment, the distributing device has several sheet deflecting elements that are connected together, and which are moveable together by a single drive unit.
Abstract:
Delivery and ejection device (20) for flat elements (2) into a machine working them, in particular into a machine (10) of packaging production continuously delivering a plurality of lines of flat elements (2) arranged into parallel streams (22) successively onto three conveyor belts (13, 23, 33). These streams are recurringly delivered into a stacker (40) thanks to a mechanism (60) of drive and interruption of the streams. The device (20) allows to separately reject at least one stream towards a reject conveyor belt (90) comprising flat elements (2) scanned as being defective. The mechanism (60) includes two carriages, one upper (61) and the other lower (62), able to move simultaneously, at the same speed and into opposite direction along a axis parallel to the streams lines (22).
