摘要： A method of printing, stacking and binding pages is provided. The method comprises the steps of: (a) printing on the pages using a printing station; (b) applying adhesive to the pages using an adhesive station; (c) delivering pages one after to another to a support tray, the support tray including an adjustable support surface and at least two side walls for guiding the pages into a stack; (d) vibrating the support tray during and/or after delivery of the pages, thereby aligning the pages in the stack; (e) adjusting the height of the support tray relative to a press device, such that an upper page of the stack is positioned at a predetermined level relative to the press device; and (f) applying a compressive force to the stack using the press device, thereby providing a bound stack of pages.

摘要： The method consists, while the ream is applied against a curved surface, in exerting pressure forces against the outer sheet of said ream, along a line of application parallel to the generatrices of the curved surface, moving this line over the entire length of the ream, and beyond each of the edges of the sheets, thereby releasing the sheets. The intensity of the pressure forces enables the sheets to be kept against the curved surface and the speed of movement of the line of application is adjusted in order for the released sheets successively to move away from the remaining curved sheets, thereby reestablishing a plane ream, this reformed ream being jogged.

摘要： A dispenser for elongated articles that is especially adapted for convenient assembly. The dispenser has a generally rectangular storage bin having an inner chamber and an article discharge slot that extends substantially from side to side across the front of the chamber. A chamber floor inclines downwardly toward the article discharge slot, and a lever arm is hingedly attached to the chamber floor to form therewith a lever arm-floor assemblage that includes substantially all of those moving parts the dispenser whose function directly relates to dispensing articles therefrom. The lever arm extends forwardly through the article discharge slot and has a depressed dispensing position and an elevated closed position. Means are provided for attaching the floor portion of a preassembled lever arm-floor assemblage within the chamber in secure, rigidly attached relation, whereby substantially all of the moving parts of the dispenser that are related to dispensing may be assembled with convenience at a location outside the chamber and then be installed within the chamber. Front wall attachments which maximize dispensing reliability are also disclosed.

摘要： Apparatus for separating, counting and stacking sheets, including a feed roller and cooperating stripper shoe for permitting the passage of only single sheets fed therebetween, said sheets being moved along a curved path defined by a guide plate cooperating with the feed roll as the sheet emerges from the region between the stripper shoe and feed roll. The leading edge of the sheet moving along said curved path enters into a nip between an acceleration roller and an acceleration idler mounted on a common axis with the feed roll to abruptly accelerate the sheet and drive it into a stacker wheel which delivers the sheet to an outfeed stacker. The feed roll is provided with a plurality of surfaces of differing coefficients of sliding friction to facilitate separation of sheets.

摘要： A sheet stacking mechanism neatly stacks a plurality of sheets, which may be of dissimilar sizes, thicknesses and surface quality (finishes), in the original sequence in which the sheets are fed into the mechanism. An outfeed mechanism picks each sheet into the stacker and removes each sheet entering into the stacker away from the throat of the stacker to permit unimpeded entry of the next sheet to the stacker. Anti-skewing devices are employed at various locations to maintain the sheets in proper alignment during stacking. Linkage means having a mechanical advantage greater than one interconnects a biasing spring to a stacker bar to provide elongation of the spring inversely proportional to the distance moved by the bar in response to the accumulation of stacked sheets thereon to render more uniform the force exerted on the bar by the spring means to provide uniform stacking.
