摘要： A mechanical garment press assembly enables users to mechanically press garments during travel and may be stored or carried in combination with standard carry-on luggage. The garment press assembly comprises opposed outer resilient planar members, each of which has a hinge end and a clamp end. A hinge member flexibly interconnects the hinge ends. Clamping structure clamps the clamp ends toward one another after a (wrinkled) garment section is received intermediate the opposed outer planar members for imparting primary wrinkle-removing forces into the target garment section. Tension members interconnect the hinge ends to the clamp ends and retain the resilient members is bowed tension for imparting secondary wrinkle-removing forces into the target garment section. Various portable assemblies are contemplated based on the foregoing basics as well as a home-based version. Certain garment pressing methods are also described based on the foregoing basics.

摘要： This invention relates to an apparatus for extending the side portions of the shirts put on the dummy toward a side. An object of the present invention enables the side portions of the shirts to be protruded toward the side strictly in compliance with the curved lines by a simple configuration without increasing its cost and further enables the body part of the shirts to be tensioned. The present invention is comprised of side pressing members arranged longitudinally at both sides of the dummy, and driving devices for protruding the side pressing members toward the sides of the dummy. The side pressing members are formed into a bow-like shape with their concave surfaces being faced to the side portions of the dummy. In addition, flexible wire members abutted against the inner surfaces of the side portions of the shirts are applied in tension in a chord-like manner at an upper end and a lower end of each of the side pressing members. The side pressing members are tensioned by the driving devices and the wire members are pushed against the inner surfaces of the side portions of the shirts, resulting in that the wire members are curved along the lines at the side portions of the shirts to cause the side portions of the shirts to be extended strictly in compliance with the curved lines.

摘要： A shirt pressing apparatus includes a buck upon which a shin can be loaded before transferring the buck into a cabinet for pressing and finishing of the shirt. Movable with the buck is a pair of rods which have attached thereto cuff clamps. In accordance with the invention, each of the cuff clamps includes a pair of longitudinally chamfered pinch bars which are mounted in a clamp housing and biased into engagement with each other. The pinch bars are preferably made of Teflon.TM. and are readily replaceable when worn. The cuff portions of the shirts to be pressed are loaded between the pinch bars of the cuff clamps from below while the rods are located adjacent the buck. Thereafter, the rods are extended away from the buck to place sleeves of the shirt in tension during the pressing and finishing operation. When the shirt is finished and comes out of the cabinet, the rods remain in their extended positions during unloading of the shirt.

摘要： The invention relates to a pressing dummy for finish pressing sweaters, jackets and similar garments, primarily made of knit fabric, consisting of a hollow body for the body portion and two pivot arms for the sleeves of the sweater, the jacket or a similar garment, with the pivot arms being able to be pivoted independently of the hollow body on the base support of the dummy used for pressing about a vertical axis by means of a manual lever via linkages out of the operative position, in which they are located in a plane in a manner in which they are aligned with the hollow body, forwardly towards the operating personnel into a receiving position, in which the operating personnel can without difficulty pull the sleeves of the garment onto the pivot arms after the body portion of the garment have been drawn over the hollow body, whereupon the pivot arms can again be pivoted back into their operative position, in which the finish-pressing operation takes place, in which a hot air-steam-mixture is blown into the hollow dummy body and simultaneously into the sleeves of the garment by means of nozzles provided on the pivot arms. After finish-pressing, the garment still disposed on the dummy used for pressing is cooled by blowing ambient air therethrough, and the condensate formed in the dummy is eliminated with the aid of the stream of hot air blown through the dummy during removal of the garment from the dummy and dressing of the next garment on the dummy.
