    摘要: There is disclosed a theft-deterrent tag including a pair of elongated tag members movable between open and closed positions relative to each other. The tag includes a pair of frangible stress-sensitive containers each containing dye. Attempted unauthorized removal of the tag will cause the dye to spill onto merchandise positioned between the tag members. Each container is secured to a respective tag member and flexure of the tag member causes fracture. The elongate tag members are movably connected at one end portion and releasably locked at the other end portion to enable the dye to spill on the merchandise and to shield the thief from the dye. An improved magnetically releasable lock can hold the tag members in the closed position.

    摘要: A seal of the padlock type comprising a plastic body having a pair of spaced apertures for receiving straight ends of a wire shackle. A metal fastener is assembled in the housing, said fastener having flexible tongues for so engaging the shackle ends that they can be easily pushed into the housing but cannot thereafter be retracted. In one embodiment of the invention the body is formed of upper and lower body portions which retain the fastener therebetween. The fastener and the upper body portion have weakened portions which fracture when excessive tension is applied to the shackle.In another embodiment of the invention the fastener has transverse score lines and the upper portion of the body has corresponding weakened portions, so that excessive tension applied to either shackle leg will cause fracture of the fastener and the body.

The locking device assembly includes a door strike assembly including a magnetized ferromagnetic material and a latchbolt assembly located at the door. The latchbolt assembly includes a latchbolt and a magnetic field sensor, wherein the magnetic field sensor senses a magnetic field provided by the door strike assembly. The door strike assembly includes, in different embodiments, a magnet located in a frame of the door strike assembly or a magnetic roller. The magnetic field sensor includes a magnetometer configured to determine the presence of a magnetic field provided by the door strike assembly. In the event that the door strike assembly has been removed to defeat the locking device, the lack of the magnetic field indicates that a security condition exists. An alert is provided to indicate the existence of the security condition.

    摘要: A tamper-resistant sash window lock includes a housing, a shaft, a cam, and a lever member. An interior surface of the housing wall that defines a cavity. A portion of the interior surface of the housing wall is curved about a hole in the housing, with a distal end of the wall portion formed into a lock surface. The shaft is rotatably mounted in the hole, and a hub of the cam is rotatably mounted on the shaft. The cam has a cantilevered arm with a lock surface and an engagement surface. The lever member is fixedly secured to the shaft, for a first side thereof to engage and drive the cam hub in a first rotational direction into a lock position when the shaft is actuated in the first rotational direction, so the lock surface of the cantilevered arm engages the lock surface of the housing preventing forced entry.
