    摘要: The present disclosure relates to a separable roller screw assembly comprising: a first screw shaft having a first external thread and being axially separated from a second screw shaft having a second external thread; a planetary roller arrangement comprising multiple rotatable rollers radially arrayed about the first and second screw shafts, whilst being encapsulated by a rotatable nut module; the rotatable nut module being coaxially arranged about the first and second screw shafts and configured for maintaining the planetary roller arrangement, the first and second screw shafts in an axially fixed configuration to permit the assembly to carry a load in an axial direction corresponding to an axial tensile force, whilst enabling displacement of the first screw shaft relative to the second screw shaft when said assembly is released from said axially fixed configuration; and wherein each one of the multiple rollers comprises first and second roller external thread regions adapted to engage said first external thread and said second external thread, respectively. Moreover, the present disclosure relates to a space craft release mechanism for separating a first space craft element from a second space craft element and comprising a separable roller screw assembly. In addition, the present disclosure relates a clamp band system for a load bearing interface assembly of a space craft comprising a separable roller screw assembly.

    摘要: A tension rod has an outer shaft slidably receiving an inner shaft. A tension mechanism includes a partially threaded rod with a threaded portion. A first end extends from the threaded portion and is adapted for fixing to an inner surface of the inner shaft; a second end has a tapered body with a greater transverse dimension closer to the second end. A wedge has a slot and an inner surface in facing sliding engagement with the tapered body between a nut threadedly engaged with the threaded portion and the second end. The nut is rotationally fixed to the outer shaft. Upon relative rotation of the inner and outer shafts, the nut moves along the threaded portion toward the second end, the wedge abutting and moving with the nut. The wedge contacts the tapered body, expands radially, and contacts the inner surface of the outer shaft, locking the shafts together.

    摘要: A modular spear that has three interchangeable sections, namely, a spear tip, a spear shaft, and a tail end, allowing the spear to be adapted for many situations. The spear shaft has an elongated body into which a first receiving cavity and a second receiving cavity are terminally are bored; the first receiving cavity being positioned opposite the second receiving cavity along the elongated body. Furthermore, the spear shaft has a first fastener assembly and a second fastener assembly for securing the spear tip and the tail end to the spear shaft. The first fastener assembly is positioned about the first receiving cavity, while the second fastener assembly is positioned about the second receiving cavity. The spear tip is positioned through the first fastener assembly and into the first receiving cavity. Meanwhile, the tail end is positioned through the second fastener assembly and into the second receiving cavity.

    摘要: A lock for an implement turnbuckle includes an apertured plate attached directly to the turnbuckle. The plate receives the pin or linkage connecting structure that attaches to the threaded eyebolt of the turnbuckle. The mounting end of the plate opposite the slot is secured against a flat on the internally threaded member of the turnbuckle by a U-bolt. The plate prevents relative rotation between the eyebolt and an internally threaded member receiving the eyebolt to thereby maintain the desired turnbuckle length adjustment.

    摘要: A turnbuckle is made by a method including preparing an iron tube having a longitudinal through-hole. A diameter of each of two ends of the iron tube is reduced to form a coupling section having an engaging hole, with an interconnecting section interconnected between the coupling sections. The interconnecting section is punched in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal through-hole to form a transverse through-hole perpendicular to the longitudinal through-hole and between the coupling sections, leaving two opposite peripheral wall portions spaced by the transverse through-hole and forming a bend extending inward from each of two end edges of each peripheral wall portion into the longitudinal through-hole. An abutting portion is formed between each bend and one of the end edges of one of the peripheral wall portions. Inner threading is formed in the engaging hole of each coupling section.
