    摘要: Disclosed are a device and a method for vacuumizing an air conditioner having multiple compressors and multiple condensers respectively connected with the compressors by multiple refrigerant pipes. The refrigerant pipes are interconnected by a connection pipe. An inlet of one of the compressors and the connection pipe are connected to a manifold. A vacuum pump is connected to the manifold. The inlets of compressors other than the compressor connected to the manifold and an outlet of the condensers are closed. Thus, the compressors and the condensers form a closed circuit. When the vacuum pump operates, the inner space of the closed circuit is vacuumized. Since many compressors and condensers can be vacuumized using a single vacuum pump, the cost of manufacturing a vacuumizing device is reduced.

    摘要: A retrofittable heating and air conditioning system for a single family dwelling including a heater and air conditioning furnace system connected to individual zones of a building by a series of output ducts. Each opening of a duct to an individual zone may have a unique, fully sealing, controllable output register assembly. Also, in each zone is a thermostat for sensing the zone temperature and for providing a means for the user to control the temperature of that zone. The system further includes a master controller with such temperature controlling features as a universal zone controller, individual zone controllers, and a timer. Finally, the system includes a central controller for controlling the register assemblies and the air conditioning, heating, and fan with respect to instructions set by the individual zone registers and the master controller.

    摘要: A refrigerant recovery apparatus will connect to an air conditioning system for recovering refrigerant when the air conditioning system requires maintenance. The recovery apparatus has a filter dryer for removing moisture and impurities, a compressor for compressing refrigerant recovered, and a condenser for condensing the compressed refrigerant into a liquid. A storage container stores the liquid refrigerant. A liquid pump will connect to the storage container for pumping liquid refrigerant from the storage container. The liquid pump in a flush mode, will pump the liquid refrigerant back through the air conditioning system to flush the air conditioning system of impurities. A return line returns the refrigerant back to the storage container, and filters the refrigerant from impurities. In a cleaning mode, the liquid pump will recirculate the liquid refrigerant from the storage container through the filter dryer and back to the storage container.

    摘要: In a preferred embodiment of the invention, an evaporator core for an automotive air conditioning system or the like comprises a brazed plate-and-fin heat exchanger formed of aluminum alloy and having air passages opening at an upstream face. The evaporator core further comprises a biocidal fixture attached to the heat exchanger upstream face. The fixture comprises a carrier formed of an electrically nonconductive polymer and metallic copper plate deposited on the surface of the carrier spaced apart from the heat exchanger. During air conditioning operations, condensate collecting on the cooper surfaces reacts with the copper to generate cupric ions that disperse in the condensate to inhibit biological growth within the heat exchanger passages. Moreover, the carrier electrically, as well as physically, isolated the copper from the aluminum to prevent galvanic coupling that would otherwise produce accelerated corrosion of the heat exchanger.
