    摘要: A mine detonating apparatus to be mounted to an armoured personnel carrier (1) is disclosed. A front roller assembly (4) is mounted at the front of a vehicle body (2) of the armoured personnel carrier (1) to apply pressure to the ground forwardly of each track (3) of the armoured personnel carrier (1). A rear roller assembly (10) is mounted rearwardly of the vehicle body (3) to apply pressure to the ground behind the vehicle, the front and rear rollers (4, 10) being pre-loaded. The rear roller assembly (10) is connected to the vehicle body by means of hydraulic cylinders (15, 16) and a support frame (8) supporting the front roller assemblies (4) is connected to the vehicle body (2) by of a pair of hydraulic cylinders (17, 18). The hydraulic cylinders (15, 16, 17, 18) are arranged to maintain the position of the front roller assemblies forwardly of the respective tracks (3).

The system mountable to a vehicle which can operate in water and on land, includes a sonar targeting system and an underwater gun system. The underwater gun system is directed by readings from the sonar targeting system and fires underwater munitions to destroy detected mines and obstacles. The pod containing the sonar targeting system and the pod containing the underwater gun system are movable to target in multiple directions with each of the pods deployed at an end of a respective deployment arm.

The ground marking device (60) includes a paint spraying device (61) as well as a stake marking device (66) next to each measuring head (40).

    摘要: A service platform for transport within an area wherein an explosive device is present. A remotely controlled tractor provides the primary motive force for moving the service platform through the explosion-prone area. Because of the danger personnel might experience in entering such an area, the tractor is remotely controlled by a transmitter manned by a person at a remote location. In situations where the explosive device comprises one or more mines hidden in the earth, the mobile support of the tractor will distribute the weight of the tractor over a sufficiently large ground surface area such that mines embedded in the ground will not have their firing circuitry triggered by passage of the tractor above the mine. However, the service platform is equipped with rugged, massive, ground contacting elements which are sufficiently light so as to not trigger the firing mechanism of anti-tank mines, but sufficiently massive to cause the firing of anti-personnel mines. The device is intended for use on pedestrian trails through forests and mountains and will find use in clearing mines from farm lands to be cultivated.

Each flail axle (14) carries an axially-distributed array of flail chains (20) and has two sets of mounting arms (16, 18) on which the axles (14) are rotatably mounted. The mounting arms (16, 18) also incorporate means (28) to maintain each flail axis (14) at a controllable height above the terrain. The mounting means (16, 18, 22, 24) are arranged such that the flail axles (14) can be held either substantially parallel to the terrain in a terrain clearing configuration. They may also be folded upwardly into an inactive configuration so that the overall width of the vehicle (10) and flail system (12) is substantially less than the overall width of the flail system (12) when in the terrain clearing configuration.
