摘要： An automatic vending machine for delivering soft ice cream or the like to ice cream cones or other containers. A pivotally mounted arm receives a cone and then moves to a product-dispensing station. The product is dispensed into the cone until a weight-responsive structure associated with the arm senses the predetermined weight of the product and stops delivery of the product to the cone. Then the arm is moved so that it deposits the cone in a delivery chamber and then is moved out of the delivery chamber back to a position to receive another cone. Mechanical latch structures are provided for latching the door to the delivery chamber in closed position until the arm has been completely withdrawn from the delivery chamber and a rod connects the arm to the latch for effecting unlatching of the door in response to movement of the arm so that the door is unlatched after the movement of the arm out of the delivery chamber. The door includes a structure for resetting the latch to latch the door after opening movement of the door and removal of the product-filled container from the delivery chamber so that the door is latched shut and remains latched until the next movement of the arm out of the delivery chamber after disposing a product-filled container therein.

摘要： The invention provides a valve for dispensing material from a hopper. The valve comprises a body defining a passage way, a generally L-shaped valve member pivotally mounted to one side of the passageway such that the inner faces of the arms of the valve member can engage respective ones of a pair of spaced back to back valve seats disposed in the passageway so that in use with the downstream of the two arms closing the passageway by engaging the downstream valve seat a charge of material in the hopper can be received between the two arms and dispensed when the valve member is rotated to open the passageway by the downstream arm and subsequently close it by the upstream arm engaging the upstream valve seat, flow through the passageway being substantially obstructed by the upstream arm as the valve member is returend to close the passageway by the downstream arm.

摘要： A cylindrical, vertically extending container having an interior, spring-ssed pressure head is adapted resiliently to constrain inverted stacks of paper cups upwardly against a plurality of radially-inwardly-extending, downwardly-directed, arcuate leaf springs, the upper ends of which springs are secured against upper end portions of the container in peripherally-spaced relation, and the lower ends of which springs extend through side openings in the container and are attached to an adjusting collar slidably disposed with respect to the outside of the container. A screwdriver adjustment mechanism serves to positionally adjust the adjusting collar with respect to the container to provide for various degrees of inward flexure of the springs for accommodating a wide variety of sizes, selectively, of paper cups to be dispensed.

摘要： An article storage unit device for use in a vending machine used for discharging an article at one time. A housing of the unit device defines at least one vertically extending article storing space and has a bottom opening. The housing is provided with a first stop adjacent the bottom opening by which an article is held in the space. A predetermined number of articles are stacked on the lowermost article within the space. The housing is also provided with a second stop for holding an article adjacent to and above the lowermost article. The first stop is releasable to discharge the lowermost article through the bottom opening by the gravity. The second stop is normally released and operates to hold the article for at least a time period during which the first stop is released. For the first and second stop, a cam may be used which is mounted on a drive shaft. The article storing space is adjusted by moving a movable plate within the space.

摘要： A beverage dispensing machine comprises a rotatable holder having columns for receiving stacks of cups disposed around and equidistant from the axis of rotation of the holder. Different columns of the holder receive stacks of cups containing the dry ingredients for different beverages. A selection indicating means operated by the customer controls a drive motor which rotates the holder, causing it to stop with the column containing the selected beverage in register with a cup separating device. The cup separating device is located to the side of the path of rotation of the columns and separates the lowermost cup from the stack. A transport mechanism moves the cup horizontal to a station where it is filled with hot water to make the beverage.

摘要： A dispensing device is provided for dispensing cups, and includes a dispensing tube in which a stack of cups may be placed, and a sliding tongue at the bottom of the dispensing tube on which the stack of cups is supported. When it is desired to dispense a cup, a solenoid is actuated to withdraw the sliding tongue from beneath the bottom end of the dispensing tube, and at the same time to pivot a pivot arm attached to it so as to cause a detent arm to project into the interior of the dispensing tube to engage the outer surface of the beverage cup which was second from the bottom of the stack of cups before the actuation of the solenoid began. The bottom-most cup may then fall from the dispensing tube; or it may be pushed downwardly by one or more stripper arms which are associated with the pivot arm so as to extend into the interior of the dispensing tube and engage the upper rim of the bottom-most cup as the pivot arm moves to engage the detent arm. Upon cessation of actuation of the solenoid, the sliding tongue returns to its position below the bottom end of the dispensing tube and the remaining cups in the dispensing tube move downwardly so as to be supported by the sliding tongue.

摘要： A method and arrangement for conveying container cups from a storage area to a filling station within vending machines. Upon actuating the machine through the insertion of a coin, for example, a holding device within a conveying chute, is released and a container cup is transported through the application of an airstream, to a filling station at one end of the chute. At the same time, a second cup within a column of stacked containers becomes separated from the stack, and is dispensed towards the holding device within the chute, where it is held until the next time that the vending machine is actuated. A bracket at the end of the chute at the location of the filling station, suspends the container cup at its upper rim, while being filled. When the cup is partially filled, the latter slips through the bracket and upon a supporting surface from which it may be taken by the consumer.
