摘要： A bicycle security system includes a locking bicycle rack and employs a user's automated teller banking card to operate the system and debit charges accrued in connection with use of the system from the user's bank account. The locking system has an electronic control means which locks and unlocks the bicycle rack by means of a banking card. The electronic control means includes a timer which tracks time in connection with use of the system. The control means thereafter calculates a charge based upon the use of the system and debits the accrued charges from the user's bank account via telephone modem. The locking bicycle rack incorporates three locking pins which lock the bicycle at the frame, the front wheel and the rear wheel to provide a high degree of security.

摘要： An electric locker apparatus to be installed at a public space, such as entrance hall of a condominium, includes a plurality of locker boxes of at least one type, each having a door with an electric lock device, and a sensor for detecting whether the relevant locker box is occupied by an article or empty. An improved locker box designating device serves to automatically designate an empty locker box of a desired type such that any one of the locker boxes of a same type, after it has been once used, can be designated only after subsequent one-round use of all remaining locker boxes of the same type. The lock device of the designated locker box is actuated to unlock the door, for allowing an article to be accommodated in the locker box. All the locker boxes of a same type are thus put into use with as uniform a frequency as possible.

摘要： An electronic security system includes an electronic lock mechanism and an electronic key, each of which is provided with a microprocessor controller and a memory storing data including an ID code. The lock microprocessor changes the ID code stored in its memory upon the operation of the lock by a correct key. The key can only be used to operate the lock once, and thereafter must be reprogrammed by a host computer with the updated ID code for the lock. The electronic lock operates a solenoid which retracts a bolt blocking mechanism which prevents the unlocking of the bolt even when a key having the correct mechanical key cuts is inserted into the lock. Power for operating the electronic lock as well as the solenoid is provided by a power supply within the key.

A central processing unit (1) is connected to a plurality of object-locking devices (27) which may be locked after prepayment has been made into said unit. During count-down of the unit (1) to zero the object-locking devices can be unlocked for access, but only once. When the count-down continues below zero unlocking is prevented until additional payment has been made.The System is particularly appropriate as a parking system for bicycles, a system for locking washing machines in laundromats, and a system for lockers at bus and railroad stations and at airports.

摘要： The present invention is directed to a device for locking and releasing objects intended for public use, such as luggage carts which can be taken from a common storage space and returned to the same. The device comprises a locking apparatus allowing each object to be automatically locked to an adjacent object or to a fixed point in compact storage position. A coin or the like is introduced into the locking apparatus to allow unlocking of the same and the concomitant release of the object by exerting a pull thereon. The locking apparatus returns the coin when the object is returned to the storage space and is locked to an adjacent object or to the fixed point. Unlocking of the object is accomplished by just exerting a pull thereon after the coin has been appropriately inserted into the locking apparatus.

摘要： A longitudinally movable normally outwardly biased release rod is provided with a lateral projection having a coin receiving slot therein. A pivoted locking pawl is connected adjacent the release rod and normally engages the same to prevent inward movement. A second independently longitudinally displaceable rod connected adjacent the first release rod and carrying a U-shaped yoke, having a lateral projection which normally closes the bottom of the coin receiving slot such that a coin therein has its upper edge projecting into engagement with the U-shaped yoke, and a cam on the second rod adapted to raise the locking pawl when the release rod is moved inwardly and the coin moves the second rod inwardly, and a timing mechanism coupled to and actuated by the second rod and controlling the return stroke of the second rod and connected to release the second rod under influence of a return spring after an adjustable time period to the normal outward position to return the locking pawl to locking engagement with the first-mentioned release rod.

摘要： A device whereby a coat carried on a coat hanger can be checked and secured after insertion of a coin and subsequently redeemed by the use of a removable key. The device includes a movable support member adapted to support the coat hanger in one position, and a plunger secured on the end of a chain which can be passed down the sleeve of a coat and then inserted in the device to simultaneously lock the support member against movement, eject the coin for collection and cause a latch to latch the plunger against withdrawal. The latch can subsequently be released by means of the key.
