    Abstract: Systems and methods for an in-vehicle base station are described. In one embodiment, a mobile base station is disclosed comprising a first access radio for providing an access network inside and outside a vehicle; a second backhaul radio for providing a backhaul connection to a macro cell; and a global positioning system (GPS) module for determining a location of the mobile base station, and for transmitting the location of the mobile base station to a core network, wherein a transmit power of the first access radio is configured to increase or decrease based on a speed of the vehicle.

    Abstract: Systems, methods and computer software are disclosed for simultaneous Long Term Evolution (LTE) and New Radio (NR) Physical Resource Block (PRB) scheduling in a network. In one embodiment a method includes transmitting a NR synchronization signal via Multicast Broadcast Single Frequency Network (MBFSN); wherein the NR uses standard LTE subframes with Cell Reference Signal (CRS) rate-matching and additional Demodulation Reference Signal (DRS) position; dynamically sharing a sub-frame between LTE and 5G NR; and scheduling simultaneous LIE and NR PRB within 1 ms granularity, implemented within a Virtual Baseband Unit (VBBU) facilitated via a HetNet Gateway (HNG).

    Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed to address inter-cell interference in a heterogeneous network. In one embodiment, a system is disclosed, comprising: a coordinating node situated between a radio access network and a core network; and a first base station in the radio access network in communication with the coordinating node, wherein: the coordinating node has a coordinating scheduler with a first scheduling period; the first base station has a first base station scheduler with a second scheduling period shorter than the first scheduling period; the coordinating scheduler is configured to send a resource reservation list and a resource restriction list to the first base station scheduler once during each first scheduling period; and the first base station is configured to receive the resource reservation list and the resource restriction list and to use the resource reservation list and the resource restriction list when performing mobile device resource scheduling.

    Abstract: Systems, methods and computer software are disclosed for providing Multipath Transmission Control Protocol (MPTCP) with mesh access. A multi Radio Access Technology (RAT) base station gateway having a MPTCP proxy, proxies an initial MPTCP connection from a User Equipment (UE). The multi-RAT base station gateway determines if the UE is capable of MPTCP to provide MPTCP. When the UE is capable of MPTCP, then the multi-Rat base station provides a Wi-Fi connection and an LTE connection. When the UE is not capable of MPTCP, then the multi-RAT base station provides an LTE connection.

    Abstract: A wireless backhaul resiliency system incorporating a mesh network is disclosed, comprising: a first base station utilizing a first mesh network node for a first wide area network (WAN)/backhaul connection and having a first wireless mesh functionality; and a second base station utilizing a second mesh network node for a second WAN/backhaul connection and having a second wireless mesh functionality, wherein the first base station is configured to detect when the first WAN/backhaul connection fails and fail over to a wireless mesh connection between the first wireless mesh functionality at the first base station and the second wireless mesh functionality at the second base station, thereby forwarding data from the first base station to a core network via the wireless mesh connection, the second mesh network node, and the second WAN/backhaul connection in the event of a failure.
