Abstract:
A testing box for testing light sources, the testing box comprising: an enclosure comprising an opening for receiving a light source; a sensor of a light property for light emitted inside the enclosure; and a comparator of the light property sensed by the sensor and a shifted test box boundary for the light property, wherein the shifted test box boundary is based on a correlation between a measured light property of a test light source in an integrating sphere and a measured light property of the test light source in the testing box. A method for testing a light source for compliance with a standard, comprising: obtaining a first measurement of a first property of a first light source in a reference measuring device; obtaining a second measurement of the first property of the first light source in a testing measuring device; determining the difference between the first measurement and the second measurement; and determining an adjusted standard value based on a correlation between the first measurement and the second measurement.
Abstract:
A recessed light fixture includes an LED module, which includes a single LED package that is configured to generate all light emitted by the recessed light fixture. For example, the LED package can include multiple LEDs mounted to a common substrate. The LED package can be coupled to a heat sink for dissipating heat from the LEDs. The heat sink can include a core member. A reflector housing may be coupled to the heat sink and configured to receive a reflector. The reflector can have any geometry, such as a bell-shaped geometry including two radii of curvature that join together at an inflection point. An optic coupler can be coupled to the reflector housing and configured to cover electrical connections at the substrate and to guide light emitted by the LED package.
Abstract:
A drain hub can include a housing, a base, and a damming device. The housing has a cavity that traverses its length and can include a top housing portion, a middle housing portion having at least one wall and a number of drainage apertures that traverse the wall, and a bottom housing portion. The base is rotatably disposed within the housing cavity and has a base cavity traversing its length. The base can include a top base portion having a number of slotted features disposed along a top surface. The base can also include a bottom base portion that extends beyond an aperture in the bottom housing portion. The damming device can be disposed within the housing cavity adjacent to the top base portion and the top housing portion, where the damming device has an elastomeric material and at least one aperture through which at least one conductor traverses.
Abstract:
An apparatus is provided for securing to and collecting power from an electrical conductor, including a current transformer comprising a core and an electrical winding that receives an induced current from magnetic flux generated according to alternating current present on the electrical conductor, and a clamping mechanism that attaches the apparatus to the electrical conductor. According to various aspects, apparatus may include a housing that encloses circuitry for monitoring conditions of the electrical conductor, where the circuitry includes one or more sensors, and wireless communications circuitry.
Abstract:
The present disclosure provides a recessed luminaire and recessed luminaire frame. The recessed luminaire frame includes a curved inner surface design in which the entire inner surface receives light from the luminaire and thus can be seen. The disclosure further provides a hydrographic printing process in which various desired designs can be printed onto a base material of the frame.
Abstract:
A reflector is rotatably coupled to a light emitting diode (LED) module assembly. The reflector includes multiple alignment features that correspond with multiple notches provided in a reflector attachment coupled to a LED light source. The reflector can be made of a non-conductive substrate material, such as glass, and can have a non-conductive, reflective coating deposited on the inner surface of the reflector to allow the reflector to be more closely positioned to the LED light source. Reflector attachments can help to maintain precise reflector position during coupling with the LED light source. Media holders can be removably coupled to the light emitting portion of the reflector and provide for the quick mounting and placement of one or more optical media in the light path output by the reflector.
Abstract:
A fastening device for fastening a cover to a body of an explosion-proof enclosure can include a bracket having a back side mechanically coupled to a bottom side at a first angle and to a top side at a second angle, where the top side includes an engagement portion, where the first angle is substantially parallel to an under side of the body flange, and where the second angle is substantially parallel to a top side of the cover flange. The fastening device can also include a cam fixedly coupled to an outer surface of the cover flange and hingedly coupled to the engagement portion. The fastening device can further include a lever fixedly coupled to the cam and having a closed position and an open position.

Abstract:
Channel framing includes an elongate body having a longitudinal axis and defining an interior extending along the longitudinal axis. The body includes a first side defining a continuous slot extending lengthwise of the body and into the interior of the body. A second side is generally opposite the first side and defines a fitting groove extending lengthwise of the body. The fitting groove is configured for receiving at least one type of fitting to secure the fitting to the channel framing.
