Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for reducing latency in transmitting and presenting map user interfaces. In one aspect, a method includes receiving, from a client device, a request for presentation of an interactive map user interface that depicts (i) a region and (ii) data related to an account for sub-regions of the region. One or more servers render a map of the region. The server(s) generate an image file representing an image of the rendered map. A different visual characteristic is assigned to each different sub-region. The server(s) configure a user interface of the client device to present (i) the image with each of the different sub-regions being presented according to the different visual characteristics and (ii) account data related to a sub-region when the client device detects a user interaction with the sub-region.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus including computer programs encoded on computer-readable storage media are provided for evaluating an attribution model, based on simulated activity streams. Parameters are specified that describe how users behave in the absence and presence of advertising, and parameters that regulate advertising in a simulation. A first set of simulated activity streams is generated with advertising turned on, observational metrics associated with the first set of streams are determined, and an attribution model is applied to determine a first fraction of incremental conversions associated with one or more advertising channels. Further sets of simulated activity streams are generated, each with a single advertising channel turned off, observational metrics associated with the further sets of streams are determined, and a second fraction of incremental conversions is determined for each advertising channel. The first and second fractions of incremental conversions are compared to evaluate the attribution model.

Abstract: Systems and techniques are provided for learned overrides for home security. A sensor of a security system may be armed. A trip signal may be received indicating a tripping of the sensor. It may be determined that the trip signal can be automatically overridden based on matching an identity of the sensor and a state of the security system with a pattern in a model. The pattern may represent a state of the security system in which automatically overriding the trip signal from the sensor is permitted.
