    Abstract: A display device and a detection method applied to the display device are provided. The display device includes a display panel, a source control circuit, and a leakage estimation circuit. The display panel includes pixels being arranged in M columns, wherein at least one panel-partition is defined on the display panel. The source control circuit includes M source drivers which respectively provide data voltages to the M columns of pixels. The leakage estimation circuit includes an evaluation circuit, a defect detection circuit, and a mode-switch. The evaluation circuit controls the defect detection circuit to perform a leakage estimation procedure so that a leakage current corresponding to the panel-partition is estimated when the at least one mode-switch is turned on.

    Abstract: A method of phase calibration for a system to control a double data rate memory device includes setting a scanning frequency at an initial value to determining if a built-in self-test passes, decreasing the scanning frequency by a frequency decrement and then performing the BIST again until the BIST passes, performing a phase calibration procedure to obtain a phase window with respect to the scanning frequency and obtain a target phase obtained based on the phase window to determine if the scanning frequency is lower than a maximum value, and increasing the scanning frequency by a frequency increment and then performing the phase calibration procedure again, until the scanning frequency being determined not lower than the maximum value.

    Abstract: A fingerprint recognition apparatus with fingerprint data compression is introduced, including: a pixel array obtaining a fingerprint data; a control circuit coupling to the pixel array and obtaining characteristic values of the pixel array; an effective fingerprint distribution judgement circuit coupling to the pixel array and determining a first part of the pixel array as an effective fingerprint zone and a second part of the pixel array as an invalid fingerprint zone according to the characteristic values of each row of the pixel array; and a multi-compressing circuit coupling to the effective fingerprint distribution judgement circuit and compressing the fingerprint data in the effective fingerprint zone with a first compression method and compressing the fingerprint data in the invalid fingerprint zone with a second compression method.

    Abstract: An image processing apparatus and method for a high dynamic range effect includes a conversion circuit, a specular detection circuit, and a blending circuit. The conversion circuit converts first pixel data of the current pixel of a current frame to a second pixel data, wherein a luminance of the second pixel data is lower than a luminance of the first pixel data. The specular detection circuit detects a specular degree of the current frame to produce a specular map, wherein the specular map includes a specular degree value of a current pixel. The blending circuit blends the first pixel data and the second pixel data according to the specular degree value of the current pixel to obtain blended pixel data of the current pixel.

    Abstract: A control circuit configured to control a display panel includes a display driver circuit, a touch sensing circuit and a fingerprint sensing circuit. The touch sensing circuit, coupled to the display driver circuit and the fingerprint sensing circuit, is configured to detect a finger touch on the display panel, determine a position of the display panel on which the finger touch is detected, and send information associated with the position to the fingerprint sensing circuit.
