Abstract: A vehicle camera cover assembly includes a base bracket, an upper cover and a lower cover. The upper cover has an upper attachment section that aligns with and attaches to a first attachment section of the base bracket. The upper cover has a retention flange dimensioned and positioned to overlay an inner flange of the base bracket with the upper cover attached to the base bracket. The lower cover has a lower attachment section that removably connects to a second attachment section of the base bracket. The lower cover has an outer flange dimensioned and positioned such that with the upper cover and the lower cover installed to the base bracket, the outer flange covers and contacts the retention flange thereby confining the retention flange between the outer flange and the inner flange restricting movement of the upper cover relative to the lower cover and the base bracket.

Abstract: An anti-submarining seat structure includes a seat frame, upholstery, an anti-submarining device, a sensor and a controller. The upholstery overlays the seat frame at least partially forming a seat cushion portion with a cavity between the seat frame and a portion of the upholstery adjacent to a front area of the seat frame. The anti-submarining device is installed within the cavity and is configured to transition from an unactuated orientation to an actuated orientation. In the actuated orientation, the anti-submarining device forms a restraining structure proximate the front area of the seat cushion portion. The sensor is configured to detect rapid changes in acceleration and velocity of the vehicle body structure. The controller is connected to the anti-submarining device and the sensor and is configured to actuate the anti-submarining device in response to signals from the sensor indicating a rapid change in acceleration and velocity of the vehicle body structure.

Abstract: A shifter assembly includes a housing, a shifter member, a movement restrictor, sensors and a positioning device. The housing has a chamber with magnetorheological fluid and an electromagnetic coil to selectively generate a plurality of levels of magnetic field densities through the magnetorheological fluid. The shifter member moves between at least a park position, a reverse position and a drive position. The movement restrictor is disposed within the chamber of the housing for movement between a first section of the chamber and a second section of the chamber. The magnetorheological fluid provides levels of movement resistance to the movement restrictor. The sensors are positioned to detect changes in position of the shifter member. The positioning device is configured to selectively position the shifter member to any of the park position, the reverse position and the drive position in response to electronic signals received by the positioning device.

Abstract: A seatbelt positioning assembly, includes a base member, an extensible member, a positioning mechanism and an electronic controller. The base member is configured to attach to a vehicle pillar structure of a vehicle adjacent to a vehicle seat assembly. The extensible member is coupled to the base member and has a D-ring of a seatbelt assembly fixed a distal end thereof. The positioning mechanism is connected to the extensible member and is supported to the base member. The position mechanism is configured to move the extensible member such that the D-ring is positioned and re-positioned between a stowed position adjacent the vehicle pillar structure and an extended position adjacent to the vehicle seat assembly. The electronic controller is connected to the positioning mechanism and configured to operate the positioning mechanism to move the extensible member positioning the D-ring between the stowed position and the extended position.

Abstract: A vehicle seat assembly having a seat portion, a tether wire and a tether cover assembly. The seat portion has a passenger receiving surface with at least a portion of the passenger receiving surface coinciding with a first plane. A resilient cushioning material of the seat portion defines a recessed area open to the passenger receiving surface. The tether wire for securing child seat is located within the recess. The tether cover assembly has a housing defining a door opening, a first door and a second door installed within the recessed area. The first and second doors are pivotal about respective first and second pivot axes for movement between respective closed positions concealing the tether wire, and open positions exposing the tether wire. In their respective closed positions the first and second doors coincide with or are parallel to the first plane.

A method of making the multi-acid polymers includes reacting an amino acid having multiple sulfonic acids with a polymer precursor in sulfonyl fluoride form or sulfonyl chloride form in a mild base condition to produce the multi-acid polymer having two or more proton conducting groups.

Abstract: A rear exhaust finisher assembly has a housing with a hollow interior, an input end and an output end. The input end has an inlet opening that is open to the hollow interior. The output end has two exhaust openings adjacent to one another. The two exhaust opening are open to the hollow interior with a baffle structure being defined between the two exhaust openings. The baffle structure is shaped and configured to cause exhaust gases moving in a gas-flow direction through the hollow interior of exhaust finisher to experience at least a partial change in direction as the exhaust gases move past the baffle structure.

Abstract: A door striker assembly includes a base plate, a reinforcement plate and a striker wire. Abstract: A front suspension structure has a front portion on a first side member of a vehicle frame and a rear portion on the first side member rearward of the front portion. A front wheel is supported by a wheel support structure that is pivotally mounted to a front suspension structure of the first side member. A stop structure is installed to the first side member at the rear portion of the front suspension structure. The stop structure extends in an outboard direction of the first side member. The stop structure has a stop surface that defines an angle relative to the vehicle longitudinal direction between 110 and 130 degrees. In response to an impact event to a front area of the front wheel, the front wheel pivots relative to the wheel support structure moving a rear area of the front wheel into contact with the stop surface.
