Abstract: A drive system for a hybrid or electric vehicle includes an electrical energy source; an electric machine, a switching device linked to the electric machine and selectively switchable between a first configuration, and a second configuration, an adjusting device linked to the electric machine and configured to vary its operating parameters, and a control unit. The first electrical configuration includes a first number of conductors in series by phase supplying a first driving torque with a first knee speed and a first no-load operation speed. The second electrical configuration includes a second number of conductors in series by phase supplying a second driving torque, lower than the first driving torque, and a second knee speed higher than the first knee speed. A ratio between the first no-load operation speed and the second knee speed is between 0.7 and 1.3.

The phases extend between respective terminals and are divided into a plurality of distinct groups, in particular at least a first group and a second group. The switching device is coupled to the first group and is operable to switch an electrical configuration thereof. The second group of phases is instead configured to maintain its electrical configuration unchanged during the switching of the electrical configuration of the first group.

Abstract: It is disclosed an electronic device to control an ignition coil of an internal combustion engine, comprising a high-voltage switch, a driving unit, a bias circuit and an integrating circuit. The high-voltage switch is connected in series with a primary winding of a coil. The driving unit is configured to control the closing and opening of the high-voltage switch. The integrating circuit is interposed between the bias circuit and a reference voltage. The integrating circuit comprises an integrating capacitor connected in series to the bias circuit and connected between the bias circuit and the reference voltage. The integrating capacitor is configured to maintain a substantially null charge during a phase of measurement of a ionization current as to measure a substantially null value of an integral of the ionization current, in the case of a misfire of the comburent-combustible mixture.

Abstract: A method of detecting the breakdown voltage between the electrodes of a spark plug connected to an ignition coil for a cylinder ignition system, in an internal combustion engine, comprises a detection of an opening of the switch (105) on the primary winding (102) and a detection of a voltage on that primary winding (102), with the generation of a first signal (V1) representative of the voltage trend following the opening of the switch (105).
The first signal (V1) is then integrated and, following an identification of a breakdown at the ends of the spark plug (106), a breakdown voltage value is determined as a function of the value of the integrated signal at the time of the breakdown.-
