An operation type electronic component which is used for a remote controller of various electronic equipment and portable electronic equipment and is equipped with a push switch driven by the rotating and push operation of an operation knob. The component can be reduced in size and grounded by a simple construction and can be grounded by merely fitting. A dome-like movable contact (23E) is put on fixed contacts (23A, 23B) disposed on a fitting substrate (22) to form a switch unit (23). An L-shaped actuator is interposed between this switch unit (23) and a driving body (21) so that the driving body (21) returns to the original state after the push operation of an operation knob (6) by the elastic operation force of the dome-like movable contact point (23E)of the switch unit (23). Further, a metal plate (25) equipped integrally with a live current portion (10) and a conductor of an earth portion (26) is fixed by insert-molding to the resin fitting substrate (22) and is electrically isolated so as to interpose a lightning conductor portion (26A) of the earth portion (26) between the live current portion (10) and the operation knob (6). According to this constitution, the number of constituent components can be reduced, the overall size can be reduced, too, and static electricity occurring in the operation knob (6) can be always conducted to the earth.

A push and rotary operating type electronic device includes: a cylindrical operating knob supported rotatably about an axis extending through both end surfaces; a rotary contact plate having an electric contact surface, and disposed on one of the end surfaces of the cylindrical operating knob; a rotatable body supported rotatably at one side of it, and for rotatably supporting the cylindrical operating knob; a substrate body for rotatably supporting the cylindrical operating knob and the rotatable body as an integral unit; a push-to-operate type component disposed on the substrate body in a position apart from a supporting portion of the rotatable body in such a manner as to be actuated by a rotational movement of the rotatable body; and a contact bar having a flexible contact blade at one end for contacting resiliently with the electric contact surface provided on the rotary contact plate and an externally connecting terminal at the other end, and fixed to the substrate body. A rotary encoder includes the rotary contact plate and the contact bar. The structure can realize the push and rotary operating type electronic device featuring a smooth operation and high contact reliability, and it can reduce size of equipment wherein this device is housed.

There is provided a pressure sensitive switch including: a cover; a slide portion that is stored in the cover and is slidable by being pressed in a horizontal direction; a pressing unit including a pressure portion that has an inner side face brought into contact with the slide portion and can be moved by being pressed by the slide potion; a sheet resistive body that has an upper face brought into contact with the pressing unit; and a conductive plate that is disposed on the lower side of the sheet resistive body with a predetermined gap arranged therebetween. The slide portion is slidable within a horizontal plane, and the pressing portion presses the sheet resistive body by sliding the slide portion, and a resistance value between the sheet resistive body and the conductive plate changes in accordance with a change in a slide operation force for sliding the slide portion.

Both converted image data obtained upon conversion of rearward image data taken by a camera by an imaging converting unit, and auxiliary display line data generated by an OSD creating unit are outputted as display image data on a display device. As a result, converted rearward images and auxiliary display lines are displayed superimposed on the display element. An operator displays the rearward images during conversion while utilizing the auxiliary display lines on the display screen to perform rotation processing, parallel movement processing, and skew processing until the image appears in a desired position.

An electronic device includes a pad which can detect an operating coordinate position by a touch operation, and a single push-switch provided under the pad. A touch operation to the pad at a given place allows a preliminary announcement of a function, and a further press-down of the pad being kept at the same position prompts the push-switch to work and determine the function preliminary announced. This structure allows excellent operability, and a single push-switch allows reducing the number of components of the operating section, so that the electronic device having these advantages is obtainable.
