Abstract:
In a power seat operation device, a micro switch is attached inside a dial that is rotatably provided to a side face of a power seat. An opening is formed inside the dial, with an operation portion of a knob to operate the micro switch inserted through the opening. There is accordingly a possibility that liquid might infiltrate into the dial, however a channel is formed inside the dial by the dial and the knob. The channel lets liquid flow downward to the lower side of the micro switch so as to discharge the liquid to outside the dial in cases in which liquid has infiltrated into the dial through the opening in a state in which the opening is positioned at the upper side of the micro switch. The channel is partitioned from the micro switch, enabling flow of liquid to the micro switch to be prevented or suppressed.
Abstract:
An inner-sensor based pointing device is presented. The pointing device includes a central housing having an aperture and a sleeve disposed surrounding a portion of the central housing. The sleeve is rotatable about the portion of the central housing and slideable along a portion of the central housing. The pointing device further includes a sensor disposed along a surface of the central housing. The sensor is capable of detecting rotational movement of the sleeve relative to the central housing and axial movement of the sleeve relative to the central housing. Additionally, the pointing device has a circuit in communication with the sensor, the circuit capable of transmitting data to a computer regarding the movement of the sleeve.
Abstract:

An inner-sensor based pointing device is presented. The pointing device includes a central housing having an aperture and a sleeve disposed surrounding a portion of the central housing, the sleeves rotatable about the portion of the central housing and slidable along a generally horizontal axis about the portion of the central housing. The pointing device further includes a sensor disposed in the central housing and aligned with the aperture, the sleeve positioned surrounding the sensor, wherein the sensor is capable of detecting rotational movement of the sleeve relative to the central housing and wherein the sensor is capable of detecting axial movement of the sleeve relative to the central housing. Additionally, the pointing device has a circuit in communication with the sensor, the circuit disposed within the central housing, the circuit capable of transmitting data to a computer regarding the movement of the sleeve.
Abstract:
A control device for generating electrical signals. The control device includes a bottom support, a first, a second, and a third fixed contacts, a first, a second, and a third moving contacts, each of which is elastically deformable. The control device also includes an intermediate control cradle thank includes first, second and third actuating pawls. The control device is suitable for occupying an inactive position in which at least one first, one second and one third bearing points of the intermediate cradle are in abutment, vertically upwards, each against an associated surface portion facing the bottom support, and a single top control member in the form of a drum.

Abstract:
An in-vehicle input device includes a housing including a supporting member; an operating knob including a shaft hole (supported part) and supported by the supporting member in such a manner that the operating knob rocks; and a switch (a moving contact of a bulge and a fixed contact of a main substrate) operated by rocking the operating knob, wherein the operating knob has a notch defining an opening intersecting with a rocking axis on a first side intersecting with the rocking axis, and wherein a rotary knob, which is an operating (second operating knob) corresponding to another switch, is disposed in the notch.
Abstract:
An electromechanical pulse generator and a method of generating electrical pulses are disclosed. The electromechanical pulse generator comprises very few parts and includes an effective mechanism to prevent contact rebound. An upper, user-actuable and rotatable part has a surface with a plurality of projections. A lower part has an electrical conductor with a displaceable resilient contact portion biased against the projections and two electrical contacts positioned, in the plane of rotation, on either side of the displaceable contact portion.
Abstract:
A rotating and pressing operation type electronic component has a reduced size, but without lowering workability, reliability of contact, and operability, wherein an inner contract formed of a tubular conductor and formed by extending, parallel with each other; a plurality of extension parts from an opening edge part along the axis thereof at specified angular pitches is inserted into a rotating operation body and formed integrally therewith. The elastic contact parts of two contact pieces are disposed on the inner peripheral surfaces of the extension parts of the inner contact so as to contact these inner peripheral surfaces, and the elastic contact parts of a common contact piece are disposed on the inner peripheral surfaces of the inner contact excluding the extension part so as to be always brought into contact with the inner peripheral surfaces.
