摘要： A metal collector foil for an electric double layer capacitor has etched upper and lower surface layers and an unetched central layer disposed between the etched upper and lower surface layers. The etched upper and lower surface layers have a total thickness sufficient to provide the metal collector foil with a capacitance per unit area that corresponds to a capacitance value obtained when the etched metal collector foil is subjected to an anodic formation process with application of a withstanding voltage of 65.6 volts, the capacitance value being not less than 1.7 &mgr;F/cm2. The unetched central layer has a thickness sufficient to provide the metal collector foil with a tensile strength not less than 9,000 N/cm2. A method of producing the metal collector foil and an electric double layer capacitor incorporating therein the metal collector foil are also disclosed.

摘要： An electrochemical capacitor is provided having double-layer electrode elements interposed with a separator. The electrode elements being made of activated carbon and impregnated with a nonaqueous electrolytic liquid yields a capacitor with low internal resistance, greater capacitance and higher energy density. Methods for producing the activated carbon electrodes and the capacitor assembly are also described.

摘要： The aromatic heterocyclic copolymer is produced by (a) reacting (i) an aromatic diaminodithiol compound, hydrogen atoms of thiol groups of which compound are substituted with substituted or unsubstituted alkyl groups, with (ii) an aromatic diamino compound and (iii) a dicarboxylic acid derivative in an organic solvent, to produce a precopolymer; and (b) heating the precopolymer to cause a thiazole ring closure reaction. This aromatic heterocyclic copolymer is contained as a reinforcing polymer in a molecular composite material.

摘要： An all-position carburetor having an air fuel mixing passage with a rotary throttle valve rotatably disposed in the carburetor body across the mixing passage. The throttle valve has an opening therethrough to provide a venturi passage in conjunction with the mixing passage. A by-pass groove is formed in the outer surface of the rotary valve on the bearing surface of the body to allow fuel which might otherwise accumulate in a pocket, in certain positions of the carburetor, to flow into the main air fuel mixture, thus avoiding overrich conditions when the carburetor is turned from one position to another.
