    Abstract: According to an aspect, a detection device includes: drive electrodes; detection electrodes; and dummy electrodes in a floating state. The drive electrodes include a first electrode extending in a first direction, and a second electrode disposed at a predetermined interval from the first electrode in a second direction intersecting the first direction. The detection electrodes include a third electrode extending in the second direction. The dummy electrodes include a fourth electrode disposed at a predetermined interval from the third electrode in the first direction. The first electrode includes a first extension part, a second extension part, and a first coupling part. The second electrode includes a third extension part, a fourth extension part, and a second coupling part. The third electrode includes a fifth extension part, a sixth extension part, and a third coupling part. The fourth electrode includes a seventh extension part, and an eighth extension part.

    Abstract: According to one embodiment, a display device includes a first substrate including a plurality of pixels, a second substrate opposed comprising a plurality of color filters and a light-shielding layer, and a liquid crystal layer. The plurality of pixels include a plurality of first pixels arranged in an oblique direction and a plurality of second pixels adjacent to each of the plurality of first pixels. The plurality of color filters include a first color filter extending in the oblique direction to overlap with the plurality of first pixels and a second color filter extending in the oblique direction to overlap with the plurality of second pixels. The light-shielding layer extends to overlap with a boundary portion between the first and second color filters.

    Abstract: According to one embodiment, a strain detection device includes a flexible base material, first, second, third, and fourth sensor patterns on the base material, each including a plural strain gauges provided in a row. First strain gauges of the first sensor pattern, second strain gauges of the second sensor pattern, third strain gauges of the third sensor pattern, and fourth strain gauges of the fourth sensor pattern are arranged facing each other in a thickness direction of the base material. The first and fourth strain gauges are arranged symmetrically with a center position of the base material in the thickness direction, and the second and third strain gauges are arranged symmetrically with the center position of the base material in the thickness direction.

    Abstract: According to one embodiment, a display device includes a substrate, first and second insulating layers, first and second pixel electrodes, first and second organic layers, first and second feed lines, first and second partitions, and a common electrode including first and second parts covering the first and second organic layers. The first organic layer is between the partitions. The second feed line and the second partition are located between the organic layers. The partitions are shaped such that a width of an upper part is greater than a width of a lower part. The first part is in contact with the first feed line between the first partition and the first organic layer.

    Abstract: A transverse electric field type liquid crystal display panel includes a pair of substrates opposed with a liquid crystal layer interposed therebetween. A plurality of sub-pixels having at least one curved portion in a display area are provided in a matrix on one side of the pair of substrates, and a pair of electrodes having at least one curved portion are formed in the plurality of sub-pixels. A light shield layer shielding a non-display area positioned on an outer peripheral side of the display area and between the plurality of sub-pixels is formed on the other side of the pair of substrates. The light shield layer of the non-display area is formed in a shape in which the outermost peripheral side of the display area is rectangular.
