    Abstract: A spring bolt night latch assembly secured to the door of an enclosure and cooperating with a suitable strike mounted on the door frame and including a spring-biased reciprocable latch bolt in a latch housing and a rotatable knob cooperating with the bolt to retract the bolt from its biased latched position. The knob has a pair of spaced actuating projections, each of which cooperates with a retracting camming surface on one side or the other of the bolt; one retracting surface providing retraction where the bolt will be projected under spring force upon release of the knob, and the other retracting surface cooperating with its knob projection to retain the bolt in fully retracted position. A pivotally mounted pawl cooperates with the latch bolt in projected position to dead lock the bolt.

    Abstract: A dual action night latch and lock assembly which is adapted to be secured to the interior surface of a door separate from a knob and latch bolt assembly and acting to latch or lock the door in closed position. The assembly is actuated by a handle on the interior of the door forming an extension of an actuator for a reciprocable bolt or by a key-actuated tumbler lock on the exterior surface of the door. The reciprocable bolt is springbiased to a normal latched position, and the handle and actuator are movable between three positions: the normal latch position, a bolt retracted position and a dead locked position. The actuator and handle includes a detent to retain the actuator in any one of its three positions.

    Abstract: A novel handle formed of a suitable plastic material which will open out flat when not in use is adapted to be secured to a case, box, luggage, or other object to be carried, by means of rivets or other suitable attaching means. The handle includes a pair of gripping members integral with an intermediate flat base and joined by grooved or narrowed hinge portions so as to allow the gripping members to open out in the same plane as the base when not in use, and when used, folded or hinged to a position with the gripping portions converging and meeting at their outer edges. The base has openings for securing means to join the handle to the article to be carried and the gripping members having elongated openings to receive the fingers of the user.

    Abstract: A cabinet lock assembly which may be utilized for a cabinet door, drawer or lid, and when for a door the lock may be used for right- or left-hand application with a back set of either of two different dimensions. The lock assembly includes a bolt guide assembly having a cylinder guide, a bolt guide or housing and a lock bolt, and a cylinder assembly which is snapped into position in the cylinder guide for proper operation and includes a keyoperated cylinder lock. The bolt guide assembly is mounted on the rear surface of the door, drawer or lid with the cylinder assembly snapped into the cylinder guide in an upright position, and a simple release and knockout tool will release the cylinder assembly from the rear end of the lock assembly. To adapt the lock assembly for the various installations, the bolt is removed from the housing, flipped over and turned end for end.
