摘要： A post and beam construction system has a plurality of telescoping posts, and a plurality of post support bases, each of the bases supporting one of the telescoping posts on one end thereof. A plurality of generally U-shaped brackets are attached to the other end of each telescoping post. A beam is supported and attached to each of the generally U-shaped brackets on the end of each telescoping posts. A decorative foamed polymer cover covers the beam and each of the plurality of telescoping posts and is coated with a fiber reinforced cement coating. The beam has a first and second elongated rib extending from two sides thereof, each rib having a T-shaped cross-section for attaching another structure component thereto.

摘要： A filter and a method for separating ions in a partially ionized plasma according to their mass includes a chamber with crossed electric and magnetic fields established therein. A feed, including metal atoms having ionization potentials in a low range, and gas atoms having an ionization potential in a high range, is introduced into the chamber. An electron temperature below the low range is generated to partially ionize the feed by dissociating the metal atoms from the gas atoms, and by ionizing the metal atoms into light and heavy ions according to their mass to charge ratio. The light and heavy ions are then influenced by the crossed electric and magnetic fields to separate the light ions from the heavy ions.

摘要： A glow plug assembly having a shield integrally connected to a housing is disposed in and retained in a bore in a cylinder head by a clamp connected to the cylinder head. A stop surface connected to said housing is engageable with the cylinder head and establishes the location of a heating element second end in the combustion chamber. The clamp maintains the stop against the head and the orientation of the shield angled second end relative to the combustion chamber. The heating element is connected to the housing by a spacer and the housing is sealed with a filler material which blocks the transfer of fluid through the housing. The filler material maintains the housing from passing fluid between the first and second housing ends, minimizes the vibration of the electrical conductors and conducts the heat out of the glow plug.

The method involves "shifting" one or both strands of the target DNA by addition or deletion of one or more nucleotides to one or both strands of the duplex to produce shifted DNA. Both strands of the shifted DNA duplex and the target DNA are sequenced and the sequences of the shifted and unshifted target DNA are compared. Since portions of the sequenced strands of the target and shifted DNA are identical, all or a portion of sequence of the target DNA can be determined.

The filter bank effects frequency shifting by undersampling input waveforms to create aliasing, and by sampling output waveforms to shift received signals up in frequency. The filter bank is highly accurate and inexpensive because of the simple acoustic charge transport filter structure, high charge transport efficiency, linear phase and sample data operation.
