Abstract:
A wireless communication system receives a registration request transferred by a first wireless communication device associated with a user account. The wireless communication system determines if registration data in the registration request is invalid. If the registration data is invalid, then the wireless communication system determines if a user profile in the first wireless communication device is out-of-date. If the user profile in the first wireless communication device is out-of-date, then the wireless communication system determines if a second wireless communication device is associated with the user account. If a second wireless communication device is associated with the user account, then the wireless communication system transfers an updated user profile for delivery to the second wireless communication device.
Abstract:
A profile audit system in a wireless network comprises a communication interface and a processing system. The communication interface is configured to receive a notification of a failed attempt by a first wireless communication device operated by a user to register with the wireless network using invalid registration data, and receive a user profile associated with the user. The processing system is configured to process the user profile and the invalid registration data to determine if a credential error has occurred, and if the credential error has occurred, process the user profile to determine if a second wireless communication device is associated with the user, and if the second wireless communication device is associated with the user, direct the communication interface to transfer an updated user profile for wireless delivery to the second wireless communication device, wherein the updated user profile includes valid registration data.
Abstract:
A mobile communications device, method, and medium are provided for capturing and handling a wide range of communication events. A registrar populates a push registry with information corresponding to an event handler. The registrar associates the event handler with a trigger event and stores the association in the push registry. An event receiver identifies an occurrence of the trigger event and calls an application management system (AMS) so that the AMS can initiate the event handler. Event filters, which can include user-definable filters, are applied to communication events according to filter definitions associated with the event handler.
Abstract:
A first authorization system authorizes a mobile device to access over a first wireless network a plurality of services provided by a plurality of service systems. A second authorization system authorizes the mobile device to access the plurality of services over a second wireless network. The second authorization system also transfers location information corresponding to a location of the mobile device to the first authorization system. A first service system of the plurality of service systems provides a first service of the plurality of services. The first service system receives a request for the first service and transfers a request to the first authorization system for the location information. The first service system receives the location information, processes the location information, and selects a positioning satellite based on the location information. The first service system transfers a message indicating the positioning satellite to the mobile device.
Abstract:
A call processing system is configured to receive a call request for a first call from a mobile device operated by a user, wherein the call request comprises a user input and a caller identification, transfer a key and the caller identification to a call conference server, transfer the caller identification, the key, and a service number to a public safety answering point, and transfer the service number to the mobile device. The call conference server is configured to store the key and the caller identification, receive a second call from the public safety answering point that includes the key, receive a third call from a telecommunications relay service that includes the caller identification, and connect the third call to the second call based on the caller identification and the key.
Abstract:
A method to providing VoIP telephony to a plurality of users of a VoIP network includes authenticating and registering a primary user to a VoIP device to support call signaling associated with the primary user. A guest user subscriber of the VoIP network having a guest user directory number is authenticated in response to a password. The guest user directory number is mapped to the unique hardware identifier of the VoIP device, and a second set of VoIP parameters are downloaded from the VoIP network to the VoIP device in order to support call signaling associated with the guest user. VoIP calls are then within the VoIP network in response to the mappings of the primary user directory number and the guest user directory number to the same unique hardware identifier.
Abstract:
This invention provides methods of diagnosis, drug screening, and treatment based on the discovery that cIAP1 and Yap are co-amplified oncogenes that cooperate to contribute to oncogenesis and tumor maintenance.
Abstract:
This invention provides a genetically tractable in situ non-human animal model for hepatocellular carcinoma. The model is useful, inter alia, in understanding the molecular mechanisms of liver cancer, in understanding the genetic alterations (e.g., in oncogenes and tumor suppressor genes) that lead to chemoresistance or poor prognosis, and in identifying and evaluating new therapies against hepatocellular carcinomas. The liver cancer model of this invention is made by altering hepatocytes to increase oncogene expression, to reduce tumor suppressor gene expression or both, preferably by inducible, reversible, and/or tissue specific expression of double-stranded RNA molecules that interfere with the expression of a target gene, and by transplanting the resulting hepatocytes into a recipient non-human animal. The invention further provides a method to treat cancer involving cooperative interactions between a tumor cell senescence program and the innate immune system.
Abstract:
There is provided a process for the preparation of 2,3-pyridinedicarboximides having the structural formula I The 2,3-pyridinedicarboximides are useful as intermediates in the preparation of herbicidal 2-(2-imidazolin-2-yl)nicotinic acids, esters and salts.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a process to prepare a pyridine-2,3-dicarboxylate derivative via the reaction of a dialkyl alkoxy(or alkylthio)oxalacetate with an appropriately substituted acrolein compound in the presence of an ammonia source and a solvent. The present invention also provides useful intermediate compounds of formula IV. ##STR1##
