摘要： An image-forming device includes an image-forming section, a separating/feeding section that separates and feeds sheets of paper from a stack into the image-forming section one sheet at a time, a pressing plate disposed on the opposite side of the stacked paper from the separating/feeding section, and a drive section that drives the pressing plate. The drive section drives the pressing plate toward the separating/feeding section when the separating/feeding section is in contact with the paper and driving of the separating/feeding section has stopped.

摘要： An air bag inflator apparatus incorporating a lower canister and an upper canister forming a canister housing. The canister housing has a first wall, a second wall, a third wall, a fourth wall and a fifth wall. The first, second, third and fourth walls define a first space which accommodates an air bag, and the first, second, third, fourth and fifth walls define a second space which accommodates an inflator. A first flow control wall is continuously formed on the surface of the first wall, and a second flow control wall is continuously formed on the surface of the second wall. The first and second flow control walls control a flow of a gas from the inflator.

摘要： A variable resistance device wherein a slide member is disposed slidably within an elongated case, resistance and collector elements are disposed on an insulating substrate, and a contactor attached to the slide member rides over the resistance and collector elements. A common conductor and a pair of staggered change-over conductor strips are also disposed parallel to each other on the substrate, and a pair of change-over contactors engage with the common conductor and one of the change-over conductors, respectively. A pair of polar light source means disposed within the operating means of the slide member are connected in parallel with opposite polarity, and connected in common to the change-over contactors. One of the change-over contactors engages alternately with one or the other of the change-over conductors in accordance with the linear movement of the slide member, thereby the light source means changes its light alternately.
