    摘要: A method for calibrating a transmitter includes operating the transmitter using a first transmitter setting; obtaining, via an external reference measuring device, a transmit power reference value indicative of a first transmit power of the transmitter corresponding to the first transmitter setting, and obtaining, using an internal measuring device of the transmitter or of a receiver associated with the transmitter, a first uncalibrated transmit power measurement value corresponding to the first transmit power. The method further includes calibrating the internal measuring device using the transmit power reference value and the first uncalibrated transmit power measurement value to provide a calibrated internal measuring device, operating the transmitter using a second transmitter setting, and obtaining, using the calibrated internal measuring device, a second transmit power measurement value indicative of a second transmit power corresponding to the second transmitter setting. Lastly, the method includes obtaining self-calibration data based on the second transmitter setting and the second transmit power measurement value, and storing the self-calibration data in a calibration data structure.

    摘要: A method for producing a transmission signal, wherein an input signal (Vd(t)), which is to be amplified, is fed to a power amplifier (PA) which outputs the signal in an amplified form (va(t)). A reproduction thereof is made and allocates a specific pre-distortion input signal (vd(t)) value to a specific input signal (vd(t)) value. A corresponding pre-distortion value is then determined for the input signal (vd(t)) and the corresponding pre-distortion value is applied to the input signal (vd(t)) in order to feed the pre-distorted input signal to the power amplifier (PA). Subsequently, the crest factor (CF) is calculated from the output signal (vd(t)) of the power (PA) and the reproduction or the value thereof if the determined crest factor departs from a predetermined range of values.

    摘要: A circuit arrangement for a multimode mobile telephone that transmits and receives signals to and from various mobile radio networks contains a baseband and a transceiver unit. The transceiver unit includes a digital adaptive predistorter having a switching element. The switching element is arranged so that an optional connection is created. The optional connection connects an amplifier output to an input of a receiver causing that receiver input to be disconnected from an antenna changeover switch. This way, it is possible for the receiver to be disconnected from a transmitting and receiving antenna during periods when the receiver is not receiving signals from the transmitting and receiving antenna. While the receiver is disconnected from the transmitting and receiving antenna, the receiver is able to receive other signals. By using a simple switch the receiver can be disconnected from the transmitting and receiving antenna, and at the same time establish a connection between the output of the transmitter amplifier and the input of the receiver. By doing so, the receiver is able to tap off and detect signals at the output of the transmitter amplifier.

    摘要: An apparatus for determining information on a power variation of a transmit signal comprises a power amplifier module, an antenna module and a power variation determining module. The power amplifier module amplifies a radio frequency transmit signal and the antenna module transmits at least partly the amplified radio frequency transmit signal. The power variation determining module determines a weighted sum of a first feedback signal derived from the amplified radio frequency transmit signal and a second feedback signal derived from the amplified radio frequency transmit signal. The first feedback signal and the second feedback signal comprise different dependencies on a varying impedance at the antenna module. Further, the power variation determining module generates a power variation signal based on the weighted sum. The power variation signal comprises information related to a power variation of the amplified radio frequency transmit signal.
