    摘要: Magnetic memories and methods are disclosed. A magnetic memory as described herein includes a plurality of stacked data storage layers to form a three-dimensional magnetic memory. Bits may be written to a data storage layer in the form of magnetic domains. The bits can then be transferred between the stacked data storage layers by heating a neighboring data storage layer, which allows the magnetic fields from the magnetic domains to imprint the magnetic domains in the neighboring data storage layer. By imprinting the magnetic domains into the neighboring data storage layer, the bits are copied from one data storage layer to another.

    摘要: A magnetic recording disk drive has a patterned magnetic recording disk with data blocks of magnetizable material separated by nonmagnetic regions, a read head for reading the magnetized data blocks and generating a readback signal, and a timing circuitry that generates from the readback signal a series of timing pulses. When the read head is over a nonmagnetic region the readback signal is significantly reduced, and this signal reduction is detectable to determine the position of the nonmagnetic regions. The timing circuitry includes a rectifier that rectifies the readback signal, a highpass filter that filters the rectified signal at the frequency of the data blocks, and a peak detector that detects the peaks of the filtered signal and generates a series of timing pulses, each pulse representing a nonmagnetic region. The timing pulses can be used for marking the bit boundaries in the digital data sequence that is output from the read channel or as the write clock signal to the write head for magnetizing the data blocks.

    摘要: A magnetic recording disk drive has an inductive write head and a heater to record data in laminated media on the recording disk. The laminated media, with at least two ferromagnetic layers separated by a nonmagnetic spacer layer, improves SNR. Each of the ferromagnetic layers can be formed of a material having an intrinsic coercivity capable of being written by a conventional inductive write head, but because of the desired lamination to increase SNR, the ferromagnetic layer farthest from the write head is exposed to a magnetic field less than its intrinsic coercivity and thus can not be written. To write to the laminated media, heat is directed to the lower ferromagnetic layer to reduce its intrinsic coercivity below the magnetic field to which it is exposed.

The drawer guide assembly contains mirror image assemblies, each comprising a guide rail mountable to the interior of a furniture article in a generally horizontally disposed position and a pull-out rail mountable to the drawer, or other movable structure, and movable within the guide rail. Both the guide and pull-out rails are provided with one or more rotatable rollers mounted in fixed positions and upper and/or lower ledges which are in rolling contact with complementary rotatable rollers, thus enabling forward and rearward horizontal movement of the pull-out rail and carried structure on the fixed guide rail.

    摘要: A hinge for mounting a door on a frame of a furniture articles includes a first hinge member such as a hinge cup to be mounted to the door, a hinge arm connected at one end of the hinge arm to the hinge cup on a pivot pin fixed in the hinge cup, and a second hinge member in the form of a hinge plate disposed on the other end of the hinge arm. The hinge plate includes an elongate opening with a centrally disposed first section and adjacent sections communicating with the first section through first and second gap formed by projections extending from opposing sides of the elongate opening towards one another. A fastening screw can be premounted in the hinge arm plate by insertion into the first section of the elongate opening. The fastening screw is provided with a threaded section which engages the projection. The threaded section of the fastening screw and an unthreaded section are configured to prevent passage of the fastening screw out of the first section of the elongate opening but to enable passage of the fastening screw for adjustment of the hinge arm plate on the frame member with a slight loosening of the fastening screw.
