Abstract: The disclosure provides a display substrate and a display device. The display substrate has a plurality of sub-pixels, and includes a base substrate, a light-shielding layer, a pixel driving circuit layer, and a pixel definition layer. The light-shielding layer is disposed on the base substrate, and includes a plurality of first light transmission openings. The pixel driving circuit layer is disposed on the light-shielding layer. The pixel definition layer is disposed on the pixel driving circuit layer, and includes a plurality of sub-pixel openings, each sub-pixel includes a pixel driving circuit disposed in the pixel driving circuit layer and a light-emitting device at least partially disposed in the sub-pixel opening, and orthographic projections of the first light transmission openings on the base substrate are respectively located between orthographic projections of adjacent sub-pixel openings on the base substrate.
