    摘要: The present invention provides a carrier for a fuel cell including a cryogel-type carbon. A catalyst of the fuel cell includes the cryogel-type carbon and an active material. One of an anode and cathode of the fuel cell has the catalyst including cryogel-type carbon. The carrier for a fuel cell has excellent porosity, specific surface area, and density characteristics, and thus is capable of improving catalyst activity due to excellent catalyst-supporting efficiency, and thereby cell performance.

    摘要: The provided is a mixed reactant fuel cell system that includes a fuel cell body including a membrane-electrode assembly, a fuel tank, and a fuel pump. The fuel tank stores a mixed fuel including a hydrocarbon-based fuel and hydrogen peroxide (H2O2). The hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) acts as an oxidant, and has the same effect as an oxygen supplied into the hydrocarbon-based fuel from an oxygen supplier. The fuel pump supplies the mixed fuel into the fuel cell body to generate electricity. An anode included in the membrane-electrode assembly includes a catalyst that selectively activates the oxidation reaction of the hydrocarbon-based fuel. A cathode included in the membrane-electrode assembly includes a catalyst that selectively activates the reduction reaction of the oxidant in the cathode. Therefore, when the mixed fuel is injected into both of the anode and the cathode, only an oxidation reaction of the fuel is carried out in the anode, and only a reduction reaction of the oxidant is carried out in the cathode.

    摘要: A membrane-electrode assembly in which an opening, a catalyst layer and a diffusing layer are placed within a cathode active region; a method for manufacturing the same; and a fuel cell system using the membrane-electrode assembly. The membrane-electrode assembly comprises: a cathode with a catalyst layer, an opening in the catalyst layer, and a diffusing layer; an anode with a catalyst layer and a diffusing layer; and an electrolyte membrane between the cathode and the anode. A hydrogen ion generated by oxidizing a liquid fuel is transferred to the cathode via the electrolyte membrane, and returns to the anode without reaction in the cathode, so that the hydrogen ion is reduced in the anode by receiving electrons from the anode, thereby generating hydrogen gas on the anode channel. The hydrogen gas is used as a high efficiency fuel, thereby enhancing the output performance of the fuel cell.
