摘要: A catalyst for oxidative dehydrogenation (ODH) of ethane with an empirical formula Mo—V—Te—Nb—Pd—O produced using a process comprising impregnation of the Pd component on the surface of the catalyst following a calcination step using a Pd compound free of halogens. The resulting catalyst can be used in both diluted and undiluted ODH processes and shows higher than expected activity without any loss of selectivity.

摘要: A catalyst adapted for generating hydrogen peroxide induced by a temperature difference and a method for environmental disinfection using the same are provided. The catalyst includes a thermoelectric material distributed on a substrate. The thermoelectric material induces a reaction between water vapor and oxygen contained in the air through a temperature difference to generate hydrogen peroxide, to serve a sterilization function through the hydrogen peroxide generated. The method for environmental disinfection using the catalyst includes the following. The catalyst is placed in an environment with a temperature difference. The catalyst is caused to induce a reaction between water vapor and oxygen contained in air through the temperature difference to generate hydrogen peroxide without applying power, and serve a sterilization function through the hydrogen peroxide generated.

摘要: Surgical tissue repair technologies incorporating nitric oxide releasing materials which release nitric oxide into the surrounding tissue. The surgical tissue repair technologies include tissue repair devices, such as surgical meshes, vascular stents, surgical grafts, irrigation solutions, and other internal surgical tissue repair materials. The nitric oxide releasing compound may be a S-nitrosothiol compound, such as s-nitroso-n-acetyl penicillamine (SNAP), s-nitrosoglutathione (GSNO), and mixtures thereof. The tissue repair devices may further include a catalyst to facilitate release of nitric oxide. The devices may include a substrate coated with a coating incorporating the same or different nitric oxide releasing compound. The devices may include a substrate impregnated with the nitric oxide releasing compound and coated with a polymer-based coating incorporating the same or different nitric oxide releasing compound. The polymer-based coating may include diazeniumdiolate groups (NONOate groups). The polymer-based coating may include a polyethyleneimine cellulose NONOate polymer.

摘要: In some embodiments provided herein are processes for controlling carbon dioxide output levels coming from an oxidative dehydrogenation (ODH) process. Carbon dioxide output from an ODH process includes that produced in the ODH reaction and carry over when carbon dioxide is used as an inert diluent. Under certain circumstances carbon dioxide can also be consumed in the ODH process by acting as an oxidizing agent. By varying the amount of steam introduced into the ODH process an operator may alter the degree to which carbon dioxide acts as an oxidizing agent. This in turn allows a level of control in the degree to which carbon dioxide is consumed in the process, effecting overall carbon dioxide output. Minimizing the carbon dioxide output provides an opportunity to limit or eliminate the requirement for release of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere.

摘要: A process for preparing a mesoporous material, e.g., transition metal oxide, sulfide, selenide or telluride, Lanthanide metal oxide, sulfide, selenide or telluride, a post-transition metal oxide, sulfide, selenide or telluride and metalloid oxide, sulfide, selenide or telluride. The process comprises providing an acidic mixture comprising a metal precursor, an interface modifier, a hydrotropic or lyotropic ion precursor, and a surfactant; and heating the acidic mixture at a temperature and for a period of time sufficient to form the mesoporous material. A mesoporous material prepared by the above process. A method of controlling nano-sized wall crystallinity and mesoporosity in mesoporous materials. The method comprises providing an acidic mixture comprising a metal precursor, an interface modifier, a hydrotropic or lyotropic ion precursor, and a surfactant; and heating the acidic mixture at a temperature and for a period of time sufficient to control nano-sized wall crystallinity and mesoporosity in the mesoporous material.
