    摘要: A slingshot pouch is disclosed. The pouch is configured to minimize contact with a projectile when it is being shot, thereby eliminating spin imparted on the projectile. This is accomplished using a pouch design configured to spring open immediately after release of the projectile. Several embodiments of such a pouch are disclosed. The disclosed embodiments comprise hinged members having various shapes, sizes and combinations of slits, opening and pockets configured to avoid imparting spin on the projectile. Also disclosed is a locking clip configured to secure such pouches to a slingshot band.

    摘要: A self-resetting paddle target is comprised of at least one paddle mounted to a carrier body. The carrier body is rotatably mounted to a support rod such that the carrier body may freely rotate about the support rod. The carrier body is formed as a cam follower configured to engage the upper surface of a carrier support member fixedly fastened to the support rod and that acts as a cam. The interaction of the carrier body and the carrier support member controls the rotation of the carrier body about the support rod and allows the paddle to reset itself after being impacted by a projectile. A plurality of paddles may be disposed along the support rod.

    摘要: A dynamic stabilizer comprising an elastomerically cushioned weight coaxially and movably mounted on an elastomerically cushioned support rod. In the preferred embodiment, the stabilizer includes a support rod, end caps, a vibration-absorbing mechanism, and a weight. The support rod is a generally cylindrical, elongated rigid member. The end caps are removably attached to each end of the support rod along the longitudinal central axis of the support rod. A threaded shaft, coaxial with the longitudinal central axis of the support rod, projects from the free end of one end cap to permit the stabilizer to removably attach to a threaded aperture in the forward face of a bow, or to a threaded aperture in a shock dampener or other archery bow accessory. The free end of the other end cap includes a threaded aperture, also coaxial with the longitudinal central axis of the support rod, to permit the removable attachment of other bow accessories to the stabilizer. The vibration-absorbing mechanism includes an elongated elastomeric tubular member that extends around and cushions the support rod, as well as a plurality of elastomeric cushioning rings that adjoin the weight coaxially on the support rod. The weight, coaxially rides along the elastomerically cushioned support rod between the elastomeric cushioning rings and the end caps. In other embodiments of the invention, the support rod may be lengthened and additional weights and cushioning rings may be added to achieve the desired stabilization effect. Additionally, the weights may be made adjustable by incorporating a means to add and/or remove ballast as necessary to achieve the desired stabilization effect.

    摘要: An archery bow shock dampener includes three main components—a base, a vibration-absorbing body, and a securement ring. The vibration-absorbing body is formed of an elastomeric material, such as a visco-elastic polymer and is sandwiched between the base and a securement ring. Within the vibration-absorbing body is a central disk having a shaft mounted to one face and projecting outwardly through the vibration-absorbing body and through an opening in the securement ring. An integrated threaded shaft on the base permits the shock dampener to be mounted, in a conventional fashion, on to the body of a bow while the threaded shaft on the central disk permits additional accessories, such as stabilizers, to be connected to the dampener. The dampener also includes an integrated washer, disposed between the vibration-absorbing body and the securement ring, which may tightened against the vibration-absorbing body to eliminate any sag that may occur if additional accessories are mounted on the dampener. In an additional embodiment, the vibration-absorbing body is replaced by a vibration absorbing mechanism in which the central disk is disposed between two elastomeric cushioning rings.

    摘要: A peepsight device for mounting on the bowstring of an archery bow. The device is characterized in that it includes a skeletal ring and an interiorly-mounted transversely-extending frame. The frame demarks and defines a peepsight orifice. Zonal areas on either side of the frame delineate, in conjunction with the circumscribing skeletal ring, fields for viewing general target areas contiguous to a peep-orifice-correlated primary target. Thus, the ease of sighting and acceleration of the sighting process itself are enhanced. Wedge-like structures integrally formed with and extending rearwardly of the ring and of the frame define vertical walls against which divided strands of the bowstring bear frictionally, and open ended slots in which the traversing bowstring strands are trained and restrained.

    摘要: There is described a nocking point assembly in which two differing plastics compositions are used in nocking point components. A softer, elastomeric first material physically engages the bowstring to provide enhanced, non-damaging gripping, while an oversleeved, second arrow-nock-contacting component of a harder plastics composition serves to ensure wear resistance in use. Each component is in the form of a hub-like disc with an integrally-joined tubular shank, the disc and the shank being slit to obviate any need to detach the bowstring when mounting the nocking point components. A separate split or open metallic ring is crimped in place over the intersleeved shanks to secure the assembly as a unit. The slits in the plastic elements, as assembled, are preferably misaligned and are staggered with the split in the locking ring to establish and preserve a round cross-sectional configuration.

    摘要: An arrow point with a selectably-adjustable, incrementally-stepped array of weight-regulating elements. The weighting elements are demarked lineal component segments of an elongate rod or bar which is deeply grooved radially at incremental, lineally-spaced positions along its length. The rod is threaded at its forward end for coupling engagement with a threaded neck portion of the arrow point. Prior to sleevedly assembling the arrow point with the shaft of the arrow, the segmental rod is severed at a particular pre-set groove to leave a selectable number of weight segments attached. The latter remain as a secured, weight-adjusting core component of the arrow point assembly. An O-ring seated in a diminutive, outwardly-opening annular groove formed in a sector of the rod forwardly of the segmental array bears upon an enveloping inner wall of the body of the point assembly to stabilize and to lock the rod frictionally within the core of the arrow point.

The fixture includes frame-carried elements for supporting a lineal section of an arrow shaft.
