The housing has a base (221), a sidewall (222) extending from a periphery of the base with an air outlet (226) defined therein, and a cap (223) covering the sidewall. The impeller has a plurality of blades (242) rotatably received in the housing for generating an airflow. An air channel (225) is formed between tip portions of the blades and an inner face of the sidewall. The air outlet has a near section (226A) and a far section (226C). The airflow first reaches the near section and then the far section. The base of the housing has a protrusion (227) extending into the air outlet for guiding the airflow flowing towards the far section from the near section of the air outlet.

    摘要: A portable electronic device includes a housing receiving a heat generating electrical component therein, a display unit and a heat dissipating hinge pivotably interconnecting the housing and the display unit. The heat dissipating hinge includes a body, a cover, a first heat pipe and a second heat pipe. A body defines a first receiving groove receiving a condenser section of the second heat pipe therein. The cover and the body cooperatively define a receiving channel receiving the evaporator section of the first heat pipe therein. Heat generated by the electric device is transferred from the heat generating electronic component to the display unit through the heat dissipating hinge. First and second supporting members are secured to two ends of the evaporator section of the first heat pipe to prevent leakage of thermal grease from a middle portion of the receiving channel.

The main body includes a bottom wall, an opposite top wall and a side wall connecting the top wall with the bottom wall. The bottom wall, the top wall and the side wall cooperatively define a space in the main body. A groove is defined in the top wall for communicating the space with an outside environment of the main body. The top wall is provided with an active cover plate corresponding to the groove. The cover plate is capable of moving upwardly relative to the top wall to define an air intake between the cover plate and the top wall. A centrifugal fan is received in the space of the main body. The centrifugal fan sucks air into the space from the outside environment via the air intake and the groove.

    摘要: A heat spreader (10) and a method for manufacturing the heat spreader are disclosed. The heat spreader includes a metal casing (12) and a wick structure (16) lines an inner surface of the metal casing. The metal casing defines therein a chamber (14) and includes an evaporating section (126) and a condensing section (127). The wick structure is in the form of metal foam and occupies a portion of the chamber. In one embodiment, the wick structure has a pore size gradually increasing from the evaporating section towards the condensing section of the metal casing. The heat spreader is manufactured by electrodepositing a layer of metal coating (70) on an outer surface of a metal foam framework (20). The metal coating becomes the metal casing and the metal foam framework becomes the wick structure.

The first fins are integrally formed with the casing of the fan, whilst the second fins consist of a stack of individually formed fins.

A flow channel is formed between each pair of neighboring fins for channeling an airflow generated by an electric fan. A guiding member having a curved shape is arranged around the through hole for guiding the airflow flowing to the heat pipe. A space formed and surrounded by the guiding member is a tapered space, which narrows gradually along the direction of the airflow so as to guide the airflow flowing to the heat pipe.
