Abstract: Disclosed herein are a system and method for efficiently routing high-priority frames through a wireless network based on markings of the frames by a data link layer, a network layer, or an application layer in a five-layer protocol stack. When a real-time application, such as a video or gaming application, is to be sent to one or more stations in the wireless network, the access point determines the strategy for routing the high-priority frames based on the markings received from the data link, network, or application layer. Strategies include discarding non-I frames when there is congestion in the wireless network, replicating I-frames to assure reliable delivery to the stations, scheduling I-frames with preference, and moving I-frames ahead in a buffer in the access point.

The active backscatter device includes a first capacitor that charges using energy from a wireless signal. The cover moves over the passive backscatter device based on an amount of energy stored in the first capacitor.

Abstract: Techniques for delegated peer-to-peer scheduling are provided. A first peer-to-peer device determines one or more wireless channels allocated for peer-to-peer communication, and receives a request indicating a set of transmission characteristics from a second peer-to-peer device that uses the first peer-to-peer device as a communications proxy. The first peer-to-peer device schedules wireless resources of the one or more wireless channels to a plurality of peer-to-peer devices based at least in part on the set of transmission characteristics, and performs peer-to-peer communications with the second peer-to-peer device in accordance with the scheduled wireless resources.

Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure include a method and associated network device. The method includes authenticating an identity of a user of a client device after the client device is associated with an access network provider. Authenticating the identity of the user comprises receiving, from an identity provider, a credential associated with the identity, and receiving, from the identity provider, information identifying a network-based service to be applied to network traffic with the client device. The method further includes establishing, using the credential and the received information, a secure connection between the access network provider and a service provider that is capable of providing the network-based service. The method further includes receiving network traffic from the service provider. Packets of the network traffic include an assurance value that enables the client device to determine that the network-based service is being provided by the service provider.

Abstract: Federated multi-access edge computing availability notifications may be provided by: transmitting, from a User Equipment (UE) to a node of a wireless network of a federated service, an attach request for the wireless network that includes authentication credentials for an independent identity provider in an identity federation, wherein the independent identity provider is external and independent from the wireless network and used to authenticate the UE to the wireless network; forwarding, from the node to the independent identity provider, the authentication credentials; transmitting, from the independent identity provider to the node, an authentication success message; receiving, at the UE via the node, the authentication success message; transmitting, from the UE to the node, a Multi-access Edge Computing (MEC) query; and receiving, at the UE from the node, a MEC response that identifies MEC resources that are available to the UE.

Abstract: Systems and techniques for performing traffic management in a wireless network using predictive traffic identifier (TID)-to-link mapping are described. Abstract: In one embodiment, an edge device of a network maintains intermediate certificates derived from root certificates of different cloud services that identify the edge device to those different cloud services. The edge device receives identity information for a particular device in the network. The edge device generates, using at least one of its intermediate certificates and the identity information for the particular device, one or more local digital identity certificates for the particular device. The edge device causes the particular device to be onboarded to a target cloud service from among the different cloud services, in part by providing the one or more local digital identity certificates to the particular device and to the target cloud service.

Abstract: Techniques and apparatus for managing a message relaying system are described. One technique includes an access point (AP) detecting a first signal and a second signal from a computing device. A validation of the first signal is performed based on parameters of the first signal and the second signal. After the validation, information associated with the first signal is transmitted to a computing system. In another technique, the computing system may designate one of multiple APs reporting information regarding first signals as a primary reporting AP and designate the remaining APs as secondary reporting APs. The computing system may instruct the secondary reporting APs to refrain from reporting information regarding first signals to the computing system.
