Abstract: A system and method are disclosed for characterizing the propagation properties of a plurality of radio frequency links without sounding each link. An access point sounds a first link and receives, from a station connected to the access point, channel state information, which may be compressed, from which it constructs a geometric representation applicable to the plurality of radio frequency links. The access point performs a sounding of a second link and receives from the station delta information, which may be compressed, regarding propagation differences between the first link and the second link. The access point then derives the propagation characteristics of the second link based on the geometric representation and the delta information. In some cases, the delta information is null, indicating no difference between the two links.

Abstract: Various embodiments herein disclose coordinating frequencies for an access point (AP). A corresponding method comprises evaluating a performance profile for the AP, the performance profile comprising a first part related to a first network generated by a first radio of the AP and a second part related to a second network generated by a second radio of the AP. The method also comprises selecting first channels on which the AP generates the first network based on the performance profile and spectral regrowth profiles for transmission power levels of the first radio. The method additionally comprises selecting second channels on which the AP generates the second network based at least in part on the performance profile and the spectral regrowth profiles. Furthermore, the method comprises enabling communications between a first set of devices on the first channels and enabling communications between a second set of devices on the second channels.

Abstract: Techniques are disclosed to synchronize wireless signal transmission by endpoints controlled by a central controller. For example, an example method of wireless communication includes receiving, at a first device, over a wired medium between the first device and a second device, a plurality of packets from the second device. Each of the plurality of packets comprises data representative of a portion of a signal corresponding to a wireless medium. The method further includes receiving, at the first device, from the second device over the wired medium a synchronization signal based on a common master clock at the second device. The method further includes synchronizing, at the first device, a local clock of the first device to the common master clock based on the synchronization signal. The method further includes reconstructing the signal corresponding to the wireless medium based on the plurality of packets and the synchronized local clock.

Abstract: Techniques for improved peer-to-peer communication are provided. A first peer-to-peer device associated with a first wireless AP, may transmit a first peer-to-peer transmission schedule to a second wireless AP, where the first peer-to-peer transmission schedule was accepted by the first wireless AP. In response to receiving an acceptance from the second wireless AP, the first wireless AP transitions from to the second wireless AP. The first peer-to-peer device performs peer-to-peer communication in accordance with the first peer-to-peer transmission schedule.

Abstract: The present disclosure describes an access point with an adjustable scan radio and a method of operating the access point. The access point operates a scan radio to determine first and second sets of metrics for packets detected by the scan radio with a received signal strength indicator (RSSI) greater than first and second RSSI thresholds, respectively. The access point also operates a service radio to determine a third set of metrics for packets transmitted by the service radio and determines a first weight and a second weight based on the third set of metrics. The access point further applies the first and second weights to the first and second sets of metrics to produce first and second sets of weighted metrics and adjusts the service radio based on the first and second sets of weighted metrics.

Abstract: Techniques for identifying potentially interfering wireless incumbents are disclosed. These techniques include receiving, from an electronic repository, a list of one or more wireless devices operating in a wireless communication band used by a wireless communication network. The list is selected from a plurality of wireless devices operating in the wireless communication band, based on a geographical location relating to the wireless communication network. The techniques further include scanning a plurality of radio channels relating to the wireless communication band, and identifying an interfering device for the wireless communication network based on comparing spectral data from the scanning with data in the list of one or more wireless devices.

Abstract: Techniques for enhanced wireless sensing or ranging are provided. First and second channel state information (CSI) data, for a first and second link of a plurality of links in a multi-link operation (MLO) system, is collected. A set of channel parameters is estimated, based on the second CSI data, using a channel propagation model. First predicted CSI data for the first link is generated based on the estimated set of channel parameters. The first CSI data is calibrated based on the first predicted CSI data, comprising determining at least one of an amplitude difference or a phase difference between the first CSI data and the first predicted CSI data. Aggregated CSI data is generated based on the calibrated first CSI data and the second CSI data, and at least one of wireless sensing or wireless ranging is performed based on the aggregated CSI data.
