    Abstract: A system and method to detect and alert about radio communication anomalies includes receiving, in a processing system, a first audio communication that is audio from a demodulated radio communication, and receiving, in the processing system, a second audio communication that is audio from a vehicle operator. The first audio communication is processed, in the processing system, to determine, from at least one audio characteristic, when the first audio communication is characteristic of a first radio communication anomaly. The first audio communication and the second audio communication are processed, in the processing system, to determine when the first audio communication and the second audio communication are causing a second radio communication anomaly. The vehicle operator is alerted, via an alert generator, when it is determined that either the first radio communication anomaly or the second radio communication anomaly occur.

    Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for promoting communication between mobile platforms. The systems include a database storing voice profiles, a communication system configured to receive audio data from each of the mobile platforms that include speech from operators of the mobile platforms, a display system configured to provide a common display in each of the mobile platforms that includes a terrain environment and mobile platform icons for each of the mobile platforms on the terrain environment indicating the locations thereof, a controller configured to, by a processor: analyze the speech of the audio data to identify in real-time a first of the operators that is currently speaking by correlating the speech with one of the voice profiles, identify a first of the mobile platforms associated with the first operator, and indicate, on the common display, in real-time that the audio data is associated with the first mobile platform.

    Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for assisting operation of a vehicle using speech recognition and transcription to provide a conversation log graphical user interface (GUI) display that consolidates communications with respect to the vehicle. One method involves receiving a data message from a system onboard the vehicle and generating a graphical representation of the data message within the conversation log GUI display, wherein the graphical representation of the data message includes a selectable element and is displayed on the conversation log GUI display concurrently with a graphical representation of a transcription of an audio communication with respect to the vehicle. The depicted data message and transcription are chronologically positioned with respect to one another in accordance with a timestamp associated with the data message. The conversation log GUI display dynamically updates in response to selection of the selectable element.

    Abstract: Systems and methods to identify a query parameter in an incoming flight voice or data communication to respond to a request. A processing system configured to: in response to receipt of a clearance message, decode the clearance message to determine whether the clearance message contains a command instruction or clearance data for a flight, and to present the command instruction to a pilot as notice to execute the command instruction or if available, obtain at least one query parameter from the clearance data to configure in a query operation to present in response to a pilot question about the command instruction.     Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for assisting operation of a vehicle using speech recognition and transcription using text-to-speech for transcription playback with variable emphasis. One method involves analyzing a transcription of an audio communication with respect to the vehicle to identify an operational term pertaining to a current operational context of the vehicle within the transcription, creating an indicator identifying the operational term within the transcription for emphasis when the operational term pertains to the current operational context of the vehicle, identifying a user-configured playback rate; and generating an audio reproduction of the transcription of the audio communication in accordance with the user-configured playback rate, wherein the operational term is selectively emphasized within the audio reproduction based on the indicator.
