    Abstract: A control device, an execution device, a device management method, and a device management system are provided, and are related to the field of network technologies. The control device includes: a network communications interface configured to connect to an execution device through a network, where the execution device is a network communications device; and a processor configured to send a device management protocol packet through the network communications interface, where the device management protocol packet indicates an operation performed on a register in a first chip in the execution device and/or the device management protocol packet indicates that a pin of a second chip in the execution device is set to a status indicated by the device management protocol packet.

    Abstract: This application provides a data transmission method. The method includes: calculating a first duration based on at least one to-be-sent data flow and a first time interval, where the first time interval is a preset value, and different data flows in the at least one to-be-sent data flow have different 5-tuples; and sending a first data flow, where the first data flow belongs to the at least one to-be-sent data flow; where a first set of packets of the first data flow are sent in a first time period, a second set of packets of the first data flow are sent in a second time period following a second time interval, a duration of the first time period and a duration of the second time period are equal to the first duration, and the second time interval is greater than or equal to the first time interval.

    Abstract: This application discloses a load balancing method and apparatus, and a device, and relates to the field of network technologies. The method includes: after a packet sent by a server is received, determining whether the packet is a first packet of a flowlet, if the packet is the first packet of the flowlet, determining a destination switch based on a destination address of the packet, determining a weight value of at least one equal-cost path associated with the destination switch in a stored equal-cost path weight table, where the equal-cost path weight table stores a correspondence between the at least one equal-cost path and the weight value, and scheduling, based on the weight value of the at least one equal-cost path, the packet onto a corresponding equal-cost path for transmission.

    Abstract: A forwarding path selection method and device are disclosed. If a data packet to be sent to a target device is a start packet of a flowlet in which the data packet is located, a sender device selects a low-load path from a plurality of paths to forward the data packet, and sets a forwarding decision of a flow in which the data packet is located to the selected path, where load of each path is load of traffic received by a corresponding intermediate device from the sender device or load of traffic sent by a corresponding intermediate device to the target device, whichever is higher. Flowlet-based load balancing can be implemented only by providing related functions on one type of device.
