Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a channel measurement method and an apparatus. The method includes: for a to-be-measured frequency band that includes at least one reporting subband and 0 or more non-reporting subbands, obtaining channel state information of each reporting subband, where the channel state information of each reporting subband is obtained based on channel estimation, and the at least one reporting subband is included in reporting subbands that are contiguous in frequency domain, or the at least one reporting subband is included in reporting subbands that are not contiguous in frequency domain; and sending a measurement report of the to-be-measured frequency band to a transmit end device, where the measurement report includes the channel state information of one or more of the at least one reporting subband.

The method may include: generating and sending indication information, where the indication information is used to indicate L space-frequency basis vectors for constructing an M×N-dimensional space-frequency vector; the space-frequency vector includes M N-dimensional precoding vectors, each precoding vector is used in one of M frequency bands, and the space-frequency vector is generated by performing a weighted combination on L space-frequency component vectors; each of the L space-frequency component vectors is a vector including M×N elements that are in one of the L space-frequency basis vectors, and each of the L space-frequency basis vectors is an Nf×N-dimensional vector; the space-frequency basis vector is a three-dimensional oversampled (DFT) vector; and L≥2, Nf≥M≥1, N≥2, and L, M, N, and Nf are all integers.

Abstract: An apparatus and method are provided for a quantity and size of subbands in a channel state information (CSI) reporting band for flexibility and reduced complexity of terminal addressing. The method includes: determining a channel state information subband size based on a bandwidth part (BWP), determining a quantity of channel state information subbands included in a channel state information reporting band based on (i) a carrier bandwidth (CC bandwidth), (ii) the BWP bandwidth or (iii) a channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) bandwidth and the channel state information subband size. The method further includes determining an actual quantity of resource blocks included in a starting subband and an actual quantity of resource blocks in an ending subband in the channel state information subband.

Abstract: A reference signal transmission method, a related device, and a communications system are provided. The method includes: determining a time-frequency resource occupied by at least one reference signal in at least one resource unit, where each of the at least one resource unit includes a first part and a second part, the first part and the second part occupy different symbols, any symbol occupied by the first part is in front of any symbol occupied by the second part; and sending the reference signal by using the determined time-frequency resource.
