Abstract: According to an aspect, a detection device includes: a plurality of first sensor electrodes disposed side by side in a first direction and a second direction intersecting the first direction; and a plurality of second sensor electrodes disposed side by side in the first direction and the second direction. One of the second sensor electrodes overlaps a plurality of first sensor electrodes out of the first sensor electrodes in planar view. Each of the second sensor electrodes has a plurality of electric-field transmission regions. One of the electric-field transmission regions overlaps a corresponding one of the first sensor electrodes in planar view and does not straddle two first sensor electrodes in planar view.

Abstract: According to one embodiment, a touch detection device includes first detection electrodes in a detection area, second detection electrodes in the detection area, extending to intersect the first detection electrodes, first control lines connected to the first detection electrodes, respectively, and provided in a non-detection area, and second control lines connected to the second detection electrodes, respectively, and provided in the non-detection area. The second control lines overlap the first control lines at a plurality of positions as seen in plan view, such that areas of overlapping portions in which the first control lines overlap the second control lines are substantially equalized.

Abstract: A liquid crystal display device includes a panel unit and a driving unit driving the panel unit. The driving unit includes as operation modes a first mode in which a detection operation of a first external object is performed in units of a divided region obtained by dividing an entire surface of a touch region of the panel unit and a second mode in which a detection operation of a second external object is performed on the entire surface of the touch region of the panel unit. The first mode is a mode detecting, in units of the divided region of the panel unit, a contact position of the first external object with each divided region, and the second mode is a mode detecting, on the entire surface of the panel unit, whether or not the second external object approaches the entire surface.

Abstract: A gate signal line driving circuit which suppresses noises in a gate signal and a display device which uses the gate signal line driving circuit are provided. A first basic circuit provided to a gate signal line driving circuit includes a HIGH voltage applying switching element which applies a HIGH voltage to gate signal lines in response to a signal HIGH period, and a LOW voltage applying switching circuit which applies a LOW voltage to the gate signal lines in response to a signal LOW period. In response to a signal HIGH period, a switch of the LOW voltage applying switching circuit of the first basic circuit is turned off based on a signal applied to a switch of the HIGH voltage applying switching element of a second basic circuit which assumes a signal HIGH period earlier than the first basic circuit.
