    摘要: An organic light emitting diode display device capable of reducing power consumption by limiting a current to lower the total luminance if an area exhibiting a high luminance is larger than a threshold, and a driving method thereof are disclosed. The device includes a luminance controller for controlling an emission time of the pixel unit by determining a luminance limit of the pixel unit corresponding to a sum of the values of the video data input into one frame; and a power source controller for controlling driving of the luminance controller to correspond to the luminance limit of the pixel unit.

    摘要: An organic light emitting display device is provided. The device includes a photo sensor adapted to: sense a brightness of ambient light; output a pulse width of an emission control signal corresponding to a sensed brightness of the ambient light; and output a gamma compensation coefficient corresponding to the sensed brightness of the ambient light and a user selected brightness. The device also includes a gamma compensation circuit adapted to adjust a magnitude of a voltage between a plurality of gradation voltages according to the output gamma compensation coefficient. The device also includes a scan driver and a data driver. The device also includes a pixel portion including a pixel adapted to: emit light according to the data signal, the scan signal, and the emission control signal; and display an image corresponding to the user selected brightness.

    摘要: A light emitting display and a driving method thereof. The light emitting display includes an image displaying part including a plurality of pixels electrically connected to a plurality of scan lines, a plurality of data lines, and a plurality of emission control lines. A controller generates a start signal having a pulse width corresponding to a number of ‘1s’ or ‘0s’ of video data. A data driver converts the video data into a data signal to supply the data signal to the data lines. A scan driver supplies a scan signal to the scan lines, and an emission control signal supplier generates an emission control signal for controlling an emitting period of at least one of the pixels in response to a start signal supplied from the controller and supplies the emission control signal to the emission control lines.
